Auntie and Uncle came back from singapore on sunday... called home and found out that pong is working friday, saturday and sunday and she started school at nyp two weeks ago, so I am quite worried she might not be able to cope... but she said she can still cope at the moment, so we'll see how... if things get too stressful, she would be better off not working... cos I know I get quite stressed sometimes working and studying... and also kept encouraging her to go swimming in the pool at nyp... it's so big and nice and clean... dun waste the opportunity to use the pool since it's there anyways...
this week is the first week of clinical placement 3B... at westmead hospital for 7 weeks... and luckily it is quite near to the station, like it's within walking distance... and i have been assigned to a male supervisor in the neurology/neurosurgery ward... it is quite boring actually, cos for the past few days, all i have been doing is initial interviews and writing the progress notes... and i have only been to one home visit so far... it's pretty challenging, but i wish there's more that i could learn... do different stuff... maybe more interesting stuff will come up in the coming weeks hopefully... but the thing about working in a hospital setting is that i dunno abt other wards, but at our ward, some of the patients have cameras cos they are in danger of getting a seizure... what happened was if the alarm sounds, that means that the patient is having a seizure, and you will see the nurses and doctors sprinting into the room... the first time it happened, i was like what the hell is going on... but after realising what it meant, it was quite an eye-opener...
other than going to clinicals every day from monday to friday, i have no life at all... cos by the time i arrive home, i am so tired already... and i sleep really early every day now... becoming like an old woman... oh and btw, we are moving house next month... to a new suburb called dural... very very inconvenient cos there is no train station nearby...
oh and btw, Happy Birthday Huimin!!!

IN frOnT oF mY LapTop All dAy...
been watching this japanese series called my boss my hero this past two days... the show is very funny but at the same time, quite sad and meaningful too... and it's kind of different from the typical lovey-dovey series... it's a story abt this gangster whose father is the leader of the triad but he is quite bad in his studies before and all he is good at is fighting, drinking and all the 'bad' stuff... so his father told him that if he wants to be the next leader of the triad, he has to go back to school... and so the show is abt his school life and how after attending the high school, he realised that there are alot of things that he can learn... very touching sometimes also... anyway, i would give it a 7.5, highly recommended show... haha...
the whole of last week has been spent on watching series, and there was this japanese series called Ichi Rittoru no Namida (1 litre of tears)... and the show is about this 15 year old girl who found out that she has this incurable illness called spinocerebellar degeneration... this disease is fatal, first affecting her legs, so she can't walk, then her hands, so she can't write, and then she can't talk and swallow and it's like she's just lying on the bed waiting to die... and the show is abt her battle with the illness and how she did not give up... the show was sooo sad... i think i really cried so much that it is really worth 1 litres of tears... and it was based on a true story... although the show is really sad, i still highly recommend it to everyone... a very meaningful show...
and the last week of my break before i start on another block of placement was spent watching hongkong serials... went back to uni on friday for the placement briefing... same old boring stuff... we were supposed to celebrate angela's belated birthday but did not in the end, cos we did not manage to get a cake for her... so we postponed to after the placement and then we'll celebrate angela, mel and karen's birthday altogether...

monday was the last day of placement at northcott... went out for lunch with the two teams, MFS and PSOS... had thai food... the food was only okay not that great... and they were really nice to treat us too... after that, we did our final evaluation and tidied up the stuff and I was off... said goodbye to everyone and wished them luck in their future... and hopefully we might be able to work together next time... now I have two weeks break before starting the next placement at westmead hospital...
last saturday, i finally got my new woolies uniform, after being in white for so long, it felt weird being in green... and the uniform was quite uncomfortable actually... still working during the weekends, nothing much happening at work...
driving... i have officially clocked 30 hours of driving now... drove to the airport and back today... very long journey and it was raining quite heavily along the way too... on the way back, i was feeling quite sleepy already... but if things go well, i should be able to get my red Ps by july... and i am trying to save money to buy a small car now...

PP3A iS oVeR!!!
at last, tomorrow is the last day of my 6 week placement at northcott... both happy and sad... happy bcos well, this placement has ended and i must say that i have worked really hard during these past few weeks and deserved the marks that i got during the placement... sad bcos this has got to be one of the better placements so far, cos pple there were all really nice and i felt like i was a part of their team... now that the placement for PP3A is over, i will be on a two week break before going on the next placement at westmead hospital... hopefully it will also be a good placement although i am quite worried cos it is a hospital placement which meant that i will really have my own patients... quite anxious to know which area i will be working in though...
anyway, nothing much happened this past week, just met up with amelia, karen, yochi and anna on thurday at eastwood for dinner at this korean-chinese restaurant... the food was okay, not that great and it was just nice seeing them again and talking about what is going on in their lives... sometimes i feel so out of touch with uni and like i dun feel like a uni student anymore... the two week break will be a good time for me to just relax and then prepare for the next placement... went over to amelia's house on friday... bought pizza and we watched ocean's eleven... and she lent me quite a few chinese series to watch during the break... haha...

SEcOnD laST weEk...
easter monday... was actually planning to just stay at home and catch up on the placement stuff... but got pulled into going to swim at lane cove and then walking after... and then watching fun with dick and jane later at night... it was funny but like all usual jim carrey shows, it's those funny but stupid kind of shows...
and then it's back to placement again... second last week of placement... found out that i have like 9 extra hours accumulated and i have to use them somehow... but it's been so busy everyday and tuesday and wednesday, we had to go to wheelchair trials and when we got back to the office, it was so late already... which i really hate cos it's so dark outside and i really can't miss the last bus otherwise i will really be in deep shit... thank god so far, that has not happened yet and hopefully never will... and i found out two days ago where my next placement will be... it's at westmead hospital... the good thing is it is quite close to the train station... but the bad thing is i am the only one going there...and i actually wrote on the preference form that i would like to do a mental health placement... oh well... hopefully it will be a good placement and the pple there are nice...
went to the movies yesterday with prisy, uncle and auntie at hornsby... watched sunshine... like i thought it was a science fiction show cos it appeared like that on the trailer... but towards the end of the show, the movie became quite scary bcos if an unexpected presence on the crew's ship and this crazy person started going around killing the crews... btw, michelle yeoh's in the movie... just thought it's worth mentioning... but i would not recommend watching it... cos the storyline's not great and it's got the creepy-looking guy cilian murphy in it...

EAstER roAdTriP...
was working on saturday and man, the store was quite busy, when i started my shift, all the checkouts were used so I was asked to do returns instead... and after that, I was asked to mop the express area... it's not that I am complaining or pampered... the mop that I had to use was so crap and I have never used that kind of mop bucket before, it was like you had to step on it with one foot and use your other foot to push the lever down and slowly squeeze the water out of the mop... and my stupid supervisor was like... aiyoh, singaporean kids are all like that... and I was like hey, aren't you singaporean too??!! anyway, I did not even get to use the registers much that day... was mostly doing the tickets actually... and towards the end of the day... the seafood section was selling all their stuff at half price so I quickly called auntie and michelle to come grab some before all are gone...
yesterday, we went on a roadtrip... started out at 8:40am... drove for almost 3 hours to this lookout point called Bulli Lookout where we could see the coastal line and the city of Wollongong below... it was really pretty... then we drove into the city of Wollongong to visit this rare Chinese temple called Nan Tien Temple... it was just weird for me to see a chinese temple here and there alot of tourists there when we arrived... apparently the temple is very commercialised but it was huge... did not spend much time there but prisy met her friend wenndy there... what a coincidence... then we continued our journey to the Grand Pacific Highway... which apparently is after Wollongong and there is like a bridge walk which you can do along the coastal line of the ocean... we only did like half of the walk actually... there were also quite alot of people doing the walk... and it's absolutely amazing... to see the ocean and there was like a huge cliff on the opposite, and the weather was great, and you could see people hand-gliding and doing parasailing at the beach area... we wanted to walk the whole way but it was getting quite late and we are still planning to go further... we then continued our journey to this country town called Berry... and the shops were open... and it's bustling with activity, unlike in sydney, where it's like dead quiet cos it's easter sunday... prisy and I bought ice cream... yummy... and once we got back into the car, it started to rain... i thought the weather was really kind to us yesterday, like it only rained when we were in the car, but when were out strolling along the shops, the weather was so nice... continued along on our journey to Kangaroo Valley... the scenery was just beautiful... mountains, farms, cows, acres of green everywhere... really amazing... then we stopped at the town area, where we spent awhile looking at the shops selling all the handicrafts, jewellery, nice stuff... then it was time to head home... went to eastwood to eat dinner and when we finally arrived home, it was like 9pm... all in all, the roadtrip took us 12 hours to and fro... pretty amazing...

A LoNg-NeeDeD brEaK...
it's the long easter weekend... well, i would say that it is a long and much needed break for me... went to castle towers to do some shopping with prisy but i did not get anything, and then came home to watch children of men... i thought the show was quite good... but they should have elaborated on the ending a little more... actually prisy and i have watched it the other day, but i was so tired that i only watched half of the show and prisy finished it the other day... we also watched monster house on wednesday night... although it was a cartoon, it was pretty scary... but it was also quite funny, especially the main character's friend...
then on easter friday, went bowling at fox studios with prisy michelle, steve and toufic... the special thing abt this bowling venue was that it was kind of like cosmic bowling... glow in the dark, so it was quite exciting... and we had lebanese bread for lunch... so basically it's like a pizza bread base thing and they have either herb, cheese or meat on it... the herb and cheese ones were nice, did not really the meat one... then after bowling, we went to this chocolate shop to eat, but i did not get anything cos the stuff there were quite expensive... then after we came home for awhile then went to myat's house for their cousins' night... she cooked some burmese noodle dish... and we were actually late cos michelle wanted to bake a pudding at the last minute... played last chance and i laughed so much that my facial muscles were actually aching and i literally had tears in my eyes... myat was really funny, she cracks me up sometimes... played till quite late and we were making alot of noise... was really tired by the time the last round was played...

FiNALLy auTuMnS hERe...
last week has been so hectic... and i have accumulated almost 5 hours of extra time during placement... so that means that i can actually go home early this week if i can... which i will try to make use of... it's going okay at the moment, just that i have reports to write and the skills for wheelies thing to think about and there is just so much to prepare and organise for the day... and i have a good news, well for myself really... i succeeded in doing a partial wheelie... yay!! it was definitely not easy, and i think i will never be brave enough to do a full wheelie... it is way too scary... i just have to do enough of a wheelie to get myself over a kerb...
and saturday was a really good day for me... cos i took a day off work and prisy and me went out into the city... when we got to the train station, we realised that the trains were not operating and we had to drive all the way into the city... and we parked at Nao's house... went to my favourite sussex centre to eat my favourite spicy beef rice which i have been craving since... yummy... and after we walked to big echo for karaoke... and then after, edlyn came to join us and we all want for dessert at passionflower... we actually skipped dinner and went straight for dessert... haha... and wendy and her mum and sister also came to join us for dessert... i had the super duper brownie and it was delicious... oh man... like saturday was one of the best days ever... got to eat and do my favourite stuff... and the weather was good also... sunny but also windy... but i did not buy anything though... now that I think back, i have not been doing any shopping or watch any movies for ages...
but then sunday had to come and i am once again back at work... working a ten hour shift again... nothing really exciting happened... except that woolies will be closed on easter friday and sunday, so that means that i will get two days off... but apparently i am working on easter monday... but also bcos of easter break... i will have to do an extra day of clinicals... oh well... i quite like the place that I am doing my placement so it's okay...

DeAd ExHauStEd...
I am so tired... more so physically cos my feet are killing me... today was the first time in the history of working in woolies that i worked for 10 hours... and it was definitely not fun... not when it was so quiet cos it was raining outside and daylight saving ended today... time passes so slowly when i am working but so fast when it comes to everything else... i need a break!!! i know i just went for karaoke that day but i really need a whole day to just recharge myself, not thinking or doing anything, just doing stuff that i like... when will that day come i wonder... and my stupid supervisor's put me down for ten hour shifts for the next few weeks... i think i will go talk to her if i really cannot do it anymore... and i have clinicals from mondays-fridays... and i have this big project and individual presentation coming up... and the stupid webct postings that we have to do every week... where got time to do so much stuff??!! am really looking forward to the easter break... hopefully i will have some time to relax and recharge... maybe one of the best ways would be just to put my head down and just cry it all out and get all the stuff out of my system...

went to observe on this seating assessment and the client had really severe scoliosis... and he was so thin, he weighed like 26kg, so light that his mum could manually lift him from his wheelchair onto the bed... it was quite confronting for me, cos i have never seen anything like that before... but it was also kind of sad to see him like that... he was so young... and he only has his mum to take care of him... he could not even speak...
went to this swimming carnival held by the northcott society... i was designated to be the third place ribbon writer... and the job is really boring... i just have to sit there and wait for the results to come and i just write the names down onto the ribbon for the kids... it was actually held on two fridays, last friday and today... and today ended earlier than expected bcos apparently one of the kids shitted in the pool...
went on three home visits this week... one's at chatswood, one's at south coogee which was like an hour's drive away and the other is at cromer, which was also an hour's drive away... i dun mind going on home visits but sometimes the journey's so long that i really felt like sleeping... and after every visit, i have to write up the reports...
and yesterday, i went back to uni to meet up with the honours supervisor (finally!!) and to return this library book... and i met amelia and karen... and we were like starving so we said we should go eat at ceci at strathfield... and guess what, we ended up going to the city for karaoke... and i actually ate KFC... i hate KFC, but i was so hungry and it was quite late already by the time we got there... we sang till like 11pm... after karaoke, i felt so guilty, bcos it's a thursday night and i still have clinicals the next day... but anyway, i have not been to karaoke for so long since i came back... could not resist the temptation... it was also nice to be able to catch up with amelia and karen...

Day 2- 13 March
This morning was yet again another shitty morning… bcos my dear friend who’s on placement with me offered me a lift… but the traffic was so bad outside that I waited like half an hour for him outside in the cold… I am so lucky that I have not fallen sick… two days in a row in the cold waiting… anyway, I am not saying it’s his fault, cos he was nice enough to give me lifts to and from northcott… very lucky that he has a car and lives near me…
Anyway, we just made it there on time cos I have a meeting with the team but some pple on the team were late so we only started at 930am… the meeting was basically just abt the general things going on in the team, so I just sat there and listen and of course the main thing to remember is to LOOK INTERESTED!!! Even though you feel like sleeping…
And then bcos my supervisor has a presentation on a conference which she attended in the US on spinal cord injuries, she asked me to help her do some binding for the stuff that she was planning to give out… and so I ended up doing binding for two whole hours… I never did know binding was actually not easy at all… and bcos I think the transparency was too flimsy, the binding machine could not punch properly and it came out crappy… I was like shit, why is this so difficult??!! and then I had to stop halfway bcos our team had to go for lunch cos one of the team members came back from pregnancy leave… and we went to a café in parramatta park and the food there was so expensive that I did not really feel like spending so much on lunch… so I ordered hot chips and it was so salty that I did not finish it… and then back to the office where I continued binding, and after we went for the presentation… and it was actually quite boring, cos I did not understand half the stuff she was saying and it was really dry… but of course, we always have to keep in mind the golden rule when you are on clinical: APPEAR INTERESTED!!
So after the presentation, we went back to do some reading and amy (my supervisor) came and told us to help her with some stuff… so we went down to the store to “steal” two wheelchairs to prepare for the in service meeting tomorrow, and we got to try out the wheelchairs, and it was my first time doing a wheelie… in case you dun know, which I initially also dun, a wheelie is where you have to grab the wheels and lean back as far as possible on the wheelchair and push the wheels forward quickly, so that the front castors lift up and you are tilting backwards… and it was really scary even though amy was actually the one tilting the wheelchair back behind me… it really is difficult… I can’t imagine how the pple in wheelchairs do these things… what happens to those who really cannot do??!!

Day 1- 12 March 2007
Today morning was really SHITTY!!!!!! I was early at the placement site… like really early… one and a half hours earlier… sian man… I was like sitting at the bus-stop in the cold for that long… stupid…
But the placement site is really new and nice… very clean and organized… and the supervisors and pple there are really nice… although there were a lot of things to do and read… I still prefer the atmosphere here at northcott as compared to nepean hospital… where the lunch room is soo small and so not everybody can squeeze there and mingle with everyone… and pple here include you in whatever they are talking abt…
We started off with the usual general briefing, talking abt the place, a tour ard the place, got introduced to all the pple working there… and our supervisors were really nice… the only thing I dun really like is the fact that I am expected to travel to other places, like go look at equipment suppliers, attend this swimming carnival at this inaccessible place, go other hospitals to look at their wheelchair programs… and you know why I hate it, it’s bcos I DUN HAVE A CAR!!! That’s why!!! Thank god I have another friend on placement with me who drives… so basically the first day is mostly admin stuff, but my supervisor discussed all her active clients with me, telling me what disabilities they have, their goals, and what she is planning to do with them… and I also got to read on some of the cases… and we will be doing a project called “Skills for wheelies”, where it’s like a program where the kids with wheelchairs come in to northcott to attend a day program on how to use your wheelchairs, how to steer it up and down ramps, what to do if you fall from your wheelchair… the thing I am worried abt is we have to actually learn how to use the wheelchairs and apparently there is this thing called “wheelie” where you have to tilt your wheelchair back so that the front castors are up the herb or ramp… how scary is that??!!
Another thing that I realized was that after so long without having to speak the aussie way, I have to start all over again when I am on pract, otherwise they dun understand what I am trying to say… and that meant no more “leh, lah”… I have to really think over what I want to say first and make sure I dun end the sentence with leh or lah… how weird is that…
Today morning was really SHITTY!!!!!!

WOrriEs, WoRriEs, and MoRE WorRies...
it's the last day of my long holiday... i really think the holiday is too long... now that clinicals will be starting tomorrow, i am getting worried... i hope everything will go smoothly and that my supervisor there is nice... and instead of taking the train every morning, i am taking the bus there and back every day... and the bus fares are sooo expensive... it's like $4 one way, and going there is a pain cos i have to walk quite alot to get to the place... and everyone's saying how third year placements are very different from the previous years cos we have our own caseloads, we have our own clients and we have to come up with our own intervention plans... it will really be a test to see how much i have learnt and managed to absorb during the last two years... one thing to worry abt...
another thing to worry abt is my driving lessons... to get my red p's, i have to have at least 50 hours of driving lessons, and i am only at 13 hours now... and bcos of the recent increase in the number of accidents involving red p's drivers, they are becoming more strict... so the driving test is another thing to worry abt... and whoever said driving is easy is lying... cos it's not... there are alot of things to look out for... reverse parking is damn difficult...
and bcos mu uncle and auntie are thinking of relocating, that's another thing to worry abt... and if they move to a place which is far away from the train station, i am going to have trouble...
the honours thing is also another worry... i have no time to go down to talk to my supervisor abt the topic and bcos we have to start early... i want to be able to come up with a topic before semester two starts so that i can go start my research... but no... and bcos i am an international student, my visa expires in march 2009, which means that i have to hand in my thesis before christmas while others can afford to delay theirs... and then i am hoping that i can do my fourth year placement in december- jan so that i can go back in time for chinese new year, but that is if they can find a placement for me during that time, otherwise i may not even be able to go home this year... and prisy wants me to go to hong kong with her in feb... and of course, back in s'pore, we have to move by the end of nov, which means that i won't be able to go back to my home when i go back...
WHY the hell is everything happening all at the same time??!!

ExTRemELy diSaPPoiNted...
DAMMIT!!! I was waiting so looooong to watch the last episode of hana kimi and I was really really disappointed... the ending was so anti-climax... actually the last two episodes were not nice at all, spoilt the entire show, it was so exciting up till episode 13... they never even got to confess to each other especially quan... SHIT!!! I am very upset... and everyone were like they better have part 2... but shows with part 2 all not nice...
okay enough about hana kimi...
last week went back to uni for honours and placement briefing... nothing much changed except they renovated the bite me cafe again... and it became like a mini food place where they sell like biscuits, chips and sandwiches... and they still have only two pathetic microwaves... went out for lunch at a korean place at strathfield with karen and anna... the food was okay but that day was one of the shittiest day of my life... i shall not say more...
michelle's friend from america came over to stay for a few days... and we took him to the city yesterday to have yum cha, which to us is commonly know as "dian xin" at chinatown... personally, i dun like the food they serve and it's expensive... but steve and her friend were very kind to treat us... after that, the three of us wanted to go karaoke, but the two guys did not want to sing, so we ended up going to fox studios thinking to go bowling, but they were all full... but the bowling place was really cool... it was glow in the dark... i really wanted to bowl there badly... so in the end, the two guys played pool while the rest of us sat there talking... after that, we drove to bondi junction... it was my first time there too since coming here, and the beach was really big and nice... it was a beautiful day and you could see the waves and pple swimming and surfing...

LyRiCs...

Since I am currently on the hana kimi/wu zun/fahrenheit phase now, I decided to post the lyrics of some of the nice songs that I have heard from them... trying to look for the song"dong le" by tank in the hana kimi OST... does anybody know where to get it or have it??

SiAN diAo...
almost been back for a week already and everything's felt like what it used to be... be it at home here or at work... it's like nothing has changed, like I have always been here and not been back for 3 months... at work... the same faces... except that apparently a few check-out staff left... not many new faces... and the long-anticipated last second episode of hana kimi is finally aired... and i actually could not sleep the whole of last night... woke up early this morning just to watch it on youtube... how sad am I... was quite disappointed... the whole episode is mostly on that famous photographer wanting to expose ruixi... and this coming sunday is the finale... can't wait to see who will confess first... haha... ruixi or quan??!! and xiuyi is going out with ruixi's friend... haha...
resumed my driving lessons... i am no longer scared of driving but i almost knocked into another car bcos I took a long time checking my side mirror and blindspot and went into the other lane today... so scary...

Yes, I am officially back in sydney... and the weather here is still really hot... and apparently my worries that my work has forgotten abt me is not true... cos just this morning my auntie told me that my supervisor called and i have shifts on both saturday and sunday... sian man...
and btw... i know it's abit late but... Happy Chinese New Year!!! I am so happy that I got to spend this year's chinese new year here with my family and relatives... although we are not close, i still am happy that we got to gather and see each other... I have not seen some of them for two years... i still remember the times when we were small... all of us were really cute back then but now everybody's grown and not so cute anymore... this year chinese new year was at one of my uncle's home... collected hongbaos and ate alot of stuff... took pictures and went off to visit the relatives on my father's side... then came back home and ate dinner with two of my uncle's family... had a reunion dinner at home with my father's friends from philippines... ate steamboat... and watched the chinese new year programs till midnight for the countdown... hopefully 2007 will be a good year...
and ohmigod... i found out that the last two episode of my hana kimi will only be shown two weeks later... i am going to be so depressed till then... i really hate having to wait so long to know the ending... i want to know what happens in the end... ahhhhh.....

HAnA kiMi...
went to smu to visit fran with huimin... fran brought us around her uni... her uni gave me an impression of being really quiet even though it's in the middle of the city... unlike NUS and NTU... where everywhere you turn, there are pple... we slacked awhile in one of the study rooms there, then huimin and I left for bugis street, in our search for bags... after walking for a long while in bugis, both huimin and I got a bag each... i actually wanted to get a sling bag but all the bags there were either not to my liking or too expensive... but i finally got a gold one at the basement of bugis junction... i will definitely miss all of them... although we dun see each other often, but i want to tell you guys that i often think of you guys and i am glad of our friendship... :)
i have been so caught up and obsessed with the new taiwanese drama called "Hua yang shao nian shao nu" with ella and wuzun that i have not been blogging... it's my new favourite show at the moment... ella's character is so cute and funny... and wuzun's so cute too... the bad thing is bcos the show's still airing in taiwan, i have to wait like two weeks more for the last 2 episodes... and i can't wait... i want to know what happens in the end... the show's really cute...
btw... 6 days more before leaving... sian man...

met up with jo, huimin, fran and sherry that day and we went to mind cafe at prinsep place... initially the plan was to go wild wild wet but fran was sick... and i was actually surprised to see sherry... i had alot of fun at mind cafe... we played cluedo, taboo and this train game that jo introduced to us... very interesting... and we all laughing so loudly... we really must go there again the next time okay guys... and then after sherry left, we proceeded to chinatown for ktv... and bcos it's a friday and chinese new year was around the corner, it was so crowded... sian man... ate abit at smith street before going to ktv... although it's only $10++ i still preferred kbox, maybe bcos the atmosphere there was not that great and the songs seemed to be slower than usual... but still i had alot of fun... cos we kept singing "bimbo" songs like barbie girl and my oh my... i was really tired by the time i got home...

CAn'T beAR tO LeAve...
went to look at houses on sunday, bcos our block apparently finally was sold... so we have to move out soon... really dun want to move... after that we went to plaza singapura to do grocery shopping then went to lau pa sat to eat dinner... actually it was my idea to eat there cos i wanted to eat satay and stingray... ate till i was so full...
went to central at clarke quay that day... still not fully opened yet though and it was really quiet... nothing really special, also the usual shops, still looking for a nice and comfortable pair of sandals... and i went to trim my hair again before i go back... my resolve to keep my hair is starting to waver...
went to meet huilin at chinatown... this time it was my turn to be late... huilin, so sorry!! i really did not mean it... anyway, she wanted to eat at this two-storey hawker centre but we later found out that it was actually the one that moved to outram park... so in the end we ate at people's park complex... it was so freaking hot that day... after eating, we walked along temple street, smith street and although it was a weekday, there were still alot of people... everywhere was red... there were stalls selling new year goodies, the mochi sweets, new year stuff... actually it was also my first time walking there... if it wasn't that hot, it would have been a great experience...

2 MORe WeeKS...
i am counting down the number of weeks before i have to leave my family and friends...
did not do much this week except slacking at home... found out that i have benn posted to this northcott society for my clinical placement for 6 weeks in march... went to find out more abt the place and apparently they mainly deal with paediatrics and young adults with problems like cerebral palsy, spina bifida, etc... which made me realise that i will be dealing with prescribing equipment, helping them to look for jobs, employment skills, etc... it would be something really different from the previous two placements... i was actually hoping to do a hospital placement... but the good thing is it is not as far as my previous placement... really hope i will do well in this setting...
on a lighter note... went kbox with pong at suntec... the only thing was that i was wearing her sandals and they really hurt my toes... i was in pain for the whole afternoon... and i still can't find a nice suitable and comfortable sandals for myself...
met up with melissa and fran on saturday at orchard... we went to food republic to eat and we were lucky to have found seats... fran and i ate the fish with rice and melissa as usual was late... cos she forgot the time we were supposed to meet... after that, we just strolled along orchard road, went to heeren and centrepoint... apparently they added a few more shops but we found out that there were actually nothing much also, just some food shops, espirit and gap... all the expensive clothes...

CUtiE...
Last friday was fran's birthday!! went to ntu to visit huimin in the afternoon and attended one of her lectures... then after she brought me to her school and they had free food there... and we were like shit we should not have eaten just now... but we still thick-skinned and ate the fishballs, some sticky thing like soon kueh and the cakes... so full after... then after walked around jurong point, wanted to look for fran's present, but did not find anything in the end... met up with fran and jo at orchard... ate at ding feng tai at paragon... and i was so careless, spilled the soup onto my pants, alamak... my first time eating xiaolongbao... not bad actually, and we ordered alot... after that, walked around paragon, then to takashimaya, and i ate brownie again... and i saw christine at wisma... what a coincidence... and we planned to meet up again to go to wild wild wet...
got hooked onto another show, but it's a taiwanese serial this time... it's devil beside you... i now it has been out a long time already, but i just saw it on tv recently, and got soo hooked onto it that i stayed up all night to watch it on youtube... thank god for youtube now... haha... mike he xiaomei is so cute!!! haha... and apparently the two of them are going to act together again in another show called exchange love...
went to watch happy birthday with pong... what a sad ending... and although the show is quite draggy sometimes, it's still not bad... i think the show's trying to tell us to treasure the times u spent together with the person u love cos u never know when they will leave you without u even knowing one day... very sad...

LAst WEeK...
this is the last blog entry for january 2007... time really flies, soon it will be time for me to go back to sydney... very "she bu de"...
yochi left for sydney... hope she has enjoyed her stay here in singapore...
went to eat at carnivore vivocity with my dad and ate till i was so full that i did not eat dinner that day... watched pan's labyrinth with pong at lido... the movie's in spanish and it was not as scary as i thought it would be... but it was only okay, maybe a 5/10...
accompanied pong to nyp for their open house... too bad it was raining outside cos i wanted to take photos at the gardens... but it was interesting to be able to go back there again and see all the courses that they offer and to visit my favourite swimming pool and drink the soya bean... saw a few of my ex classmates... inthu, joanna, elaine, gurjit and brother... and i was like telling them that they seemed to be having more fun than what we have over there in sydney... they always seemed to be having exhibitions and stuff... so envious that they will graduating soon in june... while i still have two more years to go... after that, we went to J8 to shop a little while, nothing much, shall go visit the library there soon...

Day 5:
last day of yochi's visit here... went to the new bottle tree park at yishun... apparently the bottle trees were imported from australia... but i have not seen those kind of trees before myself... then we went to chinatown again bcos she wanted to get something for her friend then we took a train down to vivocity, then a cable car to sentosa... when we arrived at sentosa, yochi suggested that we walk the dragon's trail... okay and it turned out to be a long and muddy route, from one end of sentosa to the other... and bcos of the rain the past few days, the ground was so muddy... i hated it... and the trail led us all the way to silosa beach and we caught the beach tram, which brought us on the trail along the beach... and btw, sentosa changed alot since the last time i've been there... the monorail is gone, there were beach trams and new attractions... but still an expensive place where only tourists would go... went to merlion's park, then caught another tram to pelawan beach... where we took a walk along the beach and crossed the wooden bridge to the other side... ate ice cream at movenpick's cos it was soo hot... then walked over to the new attraction called close encounter... watched the bird show... then walked a long way back to the bus station to take a bus back to the cable car station... cos we bought a return ticket, we got down at mount faber... and it was a complete nightmare! reason: bcos there is NO other way to get down other than taking a taxi or a cable car... but bcos we dun want to take taxi, we decided to walk... and when we were asking for directions from the guy manning this cafe... the expression on his face when we told him that we were going to walk down was just comical... and it took us half an hour to walk down mount faber... and the worst thing was, halfway through there was no footpaths for pedestrains to walk on so we had to walk on the road... it was so ridiculous... we were so tired by the time we got down and the road down was so quiet, i was so glad to hear the cars, telling us that we have finally reached the main road... one of my worst days ever...

Day 4:
we started our journey late... reached city hall ard 11am, then walked to the esplanade... was quite disappointed bcos most of the shops were not open even though it was so late already and the exhibits this time were not very interesting... visited the library there, very big and nice btw... my first time there also... then walked to the merlion... ate bbq stingray... fullerton hotel... the nice toilet there... one of my wishes is to be able to stay in the fullerton hotel... how nice would that be... it's my favourite hotel in singapore... then we went to the asian civilisation museum... arts museum... the supreme court, walked acoss the padang to marina square, suntec city mall... and yochi wnated to look for this church that was apparently inside suntec, and both of us could not believe it when we realised that the church was the rock thing on the third floor... i really thought it was an arcade or something... our first reaction was whoa very funky... dun even look like a church... then to eat ben and jerry's... took a shuttle bus back to city hall, to plaza singapura and the cathay... first time to cathay also, but nothing much to see actually... then we went to national museum... it's free of charge if you go after 6pm... i have never been there myself... but i was really glad that i did after touring the place... the main exhibits were on swedish inventions and the exhibits upstairs were on the history of singapore, like the fashion, films, food and photography in the past... very very interesting... i think everyone should really go take a look... it's unforgettable...

Day 3:
went to henderson early in the morning to eat roti prata, peanut cake and hum jin beng??!! then brought her around the hawker centres there, walked to bukit merah central, redhill market where we ate chee kueh and chee cheong fun... we were so full by the time we finished and the weather was so hot that day... took a bus to chinatown... OG, chinatown point, china square, far east square... halfway through, i felt my blister burst and my whole toe was so painful that we had to buy plaster before i could walk any further... then we took a bus down to bugis, where we visited the guanyin temple, which was crowded as usual... then after we walked through bugis street and went upstairs to eat at this place called teenage@bugis street or something... it's quite nice and the prices were quite reasonable... we were so glad to see comfy chairs that we did not want to leave... walked ard bugis junction, then to national library... and thank god we have already arrived at the library before the heavy downpour... when we were there, we saw that they were conducting a free guided garden tour, so we decided to join since we were stuck in the library anyways... the tour was really long about an hour and half, but i really learnt alot of things abt the plants in singapore... very interesting... one tree that stood out for me was this tree called neem tree... the indians used this kind of tree for all sorts of medical problems... apparently, the whole tree is regarded to have medicinal properties... we even had a chance to go up to the 11th floor where the view below was amazing... after the rain stopped, we continued our journey to chijmes, then to raffles city...

YoChi's viSiT...
Yochi's finally in singapore... yay for five days...
Day 1: one word to describe---- Disastrous! why? bcos after picking her up from the airport, we decided to go at at pepper lunch at novena square, but when we were about to leave, it started raining like shit, but we had to go home anyways... so the three of us had to share 2 tiny umbrellas and we were soaked... it was really the worst wet day of my life... i dun think i have ever been that wet before... except maybe during a shower... but it was also disgusting, cos the rain water kept coming onto my legs and there were huge puddles everywhere... strong winds... poor yochi, it was only her first day here and she ended up getting wet...
Day 2: much much better day, bcos it did not rain... but... my legs are aching and i have got a blister on my big toe... pain... anyway a recount of my day was as follows:
went to mustafa early in the morning... was not as crowded as the last time when i went, thank god... then after that, we went to toa payoh and yochi was so funny, she was so excited when we were on the double decker bus... we sat on the first row of seats... introduced her to carrot cake, then we went to nanyang poly where the class was having an OT day exhibition... i was so glad to see all my ex-classmates again... have not seen them for like 2 years... the exhibition was very good, we should have something similar in our campus too... then i brought her around the campus, to show her how big and nice nyp was, and we also drank the yummy soya bean drink in the canteen... we were actually supposed to go visit huimin at ntu that day but we were feeliing tired that we did not feel like travelling that far away... so we went back home to put down all the extra stuff, to rest and then resume our journey into orchard... brought yochi to far east plaza, ate tutu, went to shaw house to check out the movies, but we did not watch any in the end, went to wisma atria's food republic to eat teppanyaki, on our way up the escalator to food republic, the escalator started making funny noises and jerking, yochi and i were like looking at each other in dread, pls do not stop in the middle of nowhere or worse, dun go back down the other way and the escalator was actually quite high too... then to takashimaya, lucky plaza... by the time we finished heeren, both of our legs were aching like hell, mine especially... so we decided to go home in the end... when i got home, my feet were hurting badly and i had a blister on my right toe... pain...

A viSiT...
went swimming and kbox at marina square... cos normally when we go kbox, it costed us $21... and that day, the cashier was like... okay two pple, that will be $35... i was like what!!??? the thing was if you are not a student, then it's $12+++ per person... so expensive... and then she wanted proof that both of us were students... i had no choice but to lie to say that i did not bring my student card... but we got to sing till our hearts' content...
and today, i went to NUS to visit siti and veena at their arts faculty... they brought me to the canteen at the engineering faculty cos the one at arts was under renovation... and there were so many pple and long queues at almost every store... in the end, i ate unagi with veena and it was at a reasonable price too... after that, they brought me on a tour around the faculty, the library, and then we attended one of her lectures on youth... quite interesting, and her lecturer was funny too... and the weather was so hot that day and as i was on my way home, it started to rain so heavily... shit man... this weird weather has got to stop, otherwise we will become sydney number 2!
btw, i have not gotten a sign yet, oh well, i have decided that i will do the program, since it's the same amount of time even if i dun do it... luckily anna's doing it with me... we can suffer together!

IT'S raiNiNg (AgAiN)...
if u thought i was going to talk about the korean singer Rain... you are wrong... it has started to rain like shit again almost everyday... sian man... but btw, there's been so much news on Rain and his concert here that it's ridiculous... and i can't believe pple actually are willing to fork out so much money to go to his concert... $488!!! crazy...
went to watch night at the museum... i quite like it actually... ben stiller was quite funny... and we also saw the trailer of the new harry potter movie... looks quite exciting... can't wait for it to come out... apparently it's only coming in july... so long...
and i just was told by my auntie that uni sent me an offer into the honours program... i dunno whether to be glad or troubled??!! i dunno what this feeling is... can't decide if i really want to do it though... i also found out that huilin got offered too... but like she is definitely doing it... and i dunno what to do... and nobody can give me advice really... maybe i shall just wait for a sign...
and DAVID BECKHAM is going to america to play football... i can't believe it... that means that i can't watch him play already... the stupid manager at real madrid is even not letting him play in his final matches in real madrid... what the hell!!

WhAT's uP...
went kbox with pong at cineleisure... we got such a small room and like i really want to know how they calculate the prices... like what does all the +++ add up to?? this time we went costs us alot per person... and we also were given a small room... after that, went to cafe cartel to eat the waffles which i have been craving so much... a little disappointed bcos it was not crispy but overall, not bad... after that, went to meet up with denise and zhenzhen at food republic... i was so full after eating that waffle that i did not eat dinner... just sat there and watched them eat and talk... the design of the place was nice and unique but i found it abit squeezy... really wanted to try the food there, but i was so full... denise is going back to thailand and it would be another year before we will see each other again... hopefully...
went to swim with pong at toa payoh... i can't believe the entrance fees were so much cheaper as compared to the public pools in sydney... and the pools were clean and nice... although there were many pple swimming when we went there... went to mustafa centre at night with mum... i have never been there ever since it opened... cos i was thinking of bringing yochi there when she comes to visit... ohmigod... there were so many pple and it was so crowded... i could already feel a headache developing even before we went upstairs... and that place also abit hard to get to... but they really sell alot of stuff...
went to observe the OTs at alexandra hospital... and so coincidentally, i was under the same OT as I was before two years ago when i went there for observation too... basically just watching what she did with the outpatients who came to the hand clinic... and after it all, i was wondering if we really have to know how to do wound care and make the splints ourselves... bcos what happened there was wound care was done by one of the therapy assisstants and the cutting out of the splints were already pre-prepared already... so all the therapist has to do was choose the appropriate one, put it in hot water and mould it to the patient's hand... so does that mean that we dun have to manually draw the shape of the splints and cut them out ourselves??!! and then while i was following her on the ward rounds... the head of the discussion team was like asking the medical students and i assumed are the doctors and specialists, how to differentiate this and that with reference to the x-ray of the cervical spine of a patient, and nobody could answer the question except for this medical student... and the head of the team was like saying how embarrasing it was that the registrar did not know the answer and it was the medical student who answered instead... alamak, so paiseh...

4T2 ClaSS ReUnioN...
had our 4T2 class gathering finally... after like five years where most of us have not seen each other... although alot of pple did not turn up, i am still glad that pple made an effort to turn up cos it is really not easy to organise a class gathering/reunion... actually we were supposed to have dinner at pastamania, but ended up eating at this malay restaurant instead at arab street i think... btw, although i am a singaporean, today was the first time i have actually been to that area... alot of malay stalls and restaurants... anyway, it's good that we ate there cos we could seat together in a room with sofas and just eat and talk... we updated each other on what's happening with each of us... gossiped about pple in our class, teachers in crescent... even going to the extent where we wrote down what we think we will be doing in ten years' time... and we agreed to meet up in ten years' time again to see whether we have achieved the aims... ten years might seem like a really long time, but actually time really passes so quickly that it is going to seem like we just met yesterday or something... took pictures... and talked till quite late... was really tired by the time i got home...
finally went to huimin's house... her dog twain is soo cute... very nice to pet and very "guai"... haha unless you are unfortunate enough to want to do a good deed by spraying the ear liquid into his ear... or when he is trying to bully other dogs... huimin... thanks, i really enjoyed the time spent at ur home... maybe next time I can go again huh... oh and we went to meet up with aiwei who lives close to huimin... she still looked the same as I remembered except she's got long hair now... but still soft-spoken...
went to novena square yesterday for lunch... and guess who i saw outside pepper lunch... MRS SIAH!!! i was like holy shit... she still looks so scary and intimidating, what is she doing here??!! ohmigod... anyway, we did not end up eating at pepper lunch... after that went to visit the national library and it's huge... and even though it's like a normal weekday, there were so many pple there... did not venture upstairs though... after that, accompanied pong to go for the job interview at new york new york... but she ended up getting a job at pepper lunch...

YEar 2007...
met up with huilin at bugis... she was late again as usual... wanted to eat first then walk but the foodcourt got so many pple and there was no empty seats so we decided to walk ard first then eat... basically all the shops were the same... except i saw the shop "mu"... i actually like the clothes that they sell there, cos very unique but so expensive... of course, we went to take pictures at the diamond christmas tree outisde inter continental hotel... very nice... after then went to eat at the foodcourt... after spending a long time looking for seats... we finally found one at the corner... after that, we decided to go to the national library cos both of us had never been there since it opened... but it was closed... sian man... so we had to settle for taking pictures outside... the place looked really big... we really wanted to take a look inside... after that, went to raffles city with her... and guess what, they have ben and jerry's at the basement marketplace... yaya... shared the brownie special... and there was this donut factory there and there was this really long queue... and then i remembered reading abt this donut place on the newspaper recently... singaporeans are all like that one lor... once they read abt something new... die die also must try even though they have to queue for so long... heard about the botak jones at ang mo kio also like that... after that... walked to marina square... walked till both our feet were aching then we decided to go home... huilin was like telling me that she actually goes to volunteer at the speech therapy dept at NUH... i also had the same thought, to go and volunteer at the OT depts before i came here, but i was feeling lazy so in the end did not go and apply...

EnD oF yeAr 2006...
went out with siti, yujing, veena and freddy for dinner... long time never see yujing, veena and freddy already... and all of us commented that we all looked the same as when we were in njc... is that good or bad... and when siti said that freddy looked fatter, he said that he looked buffer instead... and all of us cracked up... i actually thought he looked the same to me... went to eat at breeks at takashimaya... i have never eaten there before though... but we all ended up eating korean food... i ate the spicy chicken bibimbap... i actually wanted the chicken ramen, but they ran out of that chicken... and siti, veena and me all said dun want bean sprouts... yuck... i hate "dou gay"... talked as we ate... abt the stuff all of us were doing now... uni... reminiscing abt the past njc days... the teachers... and then freddy had to leave early... so after that, we went walking in takashimaya to look for umbrellas cos yujing wanted to get one... then decided to walk over to partyworld to check out the prices... but i did not really like the place cos it smelled of cigarettes and looked sleazy... so in the end, went to heeren to take neoprints... haha... we took twice and spent so much time there decorating out pictures... there was one station where we had to kneel all the way down on the floor to take, and it was so funny... all of us were laughing and panicking cos we didn't know when the camera was going to take cos it was all in japanese...
today is the last day of year 2006 already... time really flies too quickly... really glad that I am able to spend christmas and the new year here this year... this year was a good year overall, hopefully the year 2007 will bring some new experiences, surprises and of course... here's wishing everyone good health...

My GiRL...
Merry Christmas!!
went out with pong and one of my dad's friend... went to vivocity and she treated us to this really posh Brazilian restaurant buffet called Carnivore... whoa ate till i was so full... ate alot of meats today... the food was great... especailly suitable for those who love to eat meats... after that, walked around vivocity and as usual, there were alot of pple there even though it's like a weekday and it's the middle of the day... after that, while we were on our way to the mrt station, i actually met veena and devi... so "qiao" lor... cos i was about to call veena to inform her about the class gathering... haven't seen them for sooo long already, but they still looked the same... and they also said i looked the same... is that good or bad, i wonder?? talked for awhile, standing in the middle of the pathway...
and then we took a train down to plaza singapura... nothing much has changed... actually looking for a nice pair of sandals... preferably with abit of heels... but so far i have not seen any nice shoes yet... walked to OG, walked around there for abit and then went for a facial... haha... my face really hurts after facial... and i dread going everytime...
met up with zhenzhen aka brother for dinner at junction 8... again... i still remembered we went there last year also and also ate at the food court... we even ate ice kachang again... we really must do things differently next time... otherwise so predictable... after eating, we walked for abit, took like one picture together and went to look for fleecy jackets for zhenzhen... cos she will be coming to sydney uni next june for a year... yay... very excited... after that, we went to mcdonald and bought a chocolate milkshake and just sat and talked...
shit lah... got hooked onto this new korean series called MY Girl... once i started watching, i couldn't stop, so in the end, watched till like the next morning... did not sleep at all... i hate it... i know myself, once i start a show, i won't stop till i know the ending... that's why i refused to watch the other korean show during exams... bad bad andrea... btw, the show is damn good... better than princess hours... nice nice... and the main actor is sooo cute... haha...

monday... met up with piyo, inthu and angie... went to this indian food place called kumala's to eat... piyo was late and we had to wait so long for her... ate prata but it was not that nice... ate and talked after not seeing them for a year... after that, we walked around marina square... took some pictures... piyo lost alot of weight... inthu and angie still looked the same to me... angie had to leave early so left the three of us and we decided to share a candy floss... yummy... i noe it's bad for the teeth... but i haven't had it for so long... and then after that, we walked abit more and went our separate ways... was waiting for the bus for like half an hour and it still did not come... so in the end i had to catch the free shuttle bus to city hall mrt and then take a bus home... and it was raining so heavily... so annoying... accompanied my grandma to the hospital on tuesday... raining like shit again... so we had to catch a taxi instead...
wednesday... met up with jo, fran and sherry... finally... dunno why they all so busy... went bowling at great world first with jo and huimin... i really think that we actually do better in the first rounds than in the second rounds... cos maybe we are all tired already and the game did not seem that fun anymore... and we agreed that the winner had to treat ben and jerry's... haha and the loser gets to distribute half of the pamphlets that jo brought with her... at the end of 2 rounds... jo won... which was amazing and unbelievable... haha juz joking... and huimin lost... and i got to eat ben and jerry's after... yummy... after that, we went to town and i bought tutu to eat... was actually quite full by then already... and then it was time to start distributing the pamphlets... very tiring leh actually... and then after distributing for more than an hour... i think i distributed less than 20... it's really hard man cos NOBODY wanted to take them... and guess who I saw while distributing at tangs... MEL!!! i did not even see her until she came right up to me... i was so tired by then and hot... so glad to see her... was supposed to go out with her one day before she goes back to sydney... and then finally was can stop already and meet fran and sherry for dinner at pepper lunch and takashimaya... but we ran into justina at orchard mrt... she looked different... sherry also... it was funny... haha... after dinner... we went back to cineleisure upstairs again to chill out... like last year... talked, gossiped... heard stories and glad that each of them are doing well... i did not really have any interesting stuff to say but i was contented to just sit there and listen... thanks guys... we really must meet up more often okay... and dun forget the class gathering... next time... WEt weT wEt...
friday... huimin came over to bake stuff with me... we baked brownies, cheese sticks and cinnamon rolls... cinnamon rolls bcos both of us are huge fans and there is no longer any cinnamon rolls shops here anymore... everything started off fine... except huimin laughed at me for my poor math skills, i can't help it... i have not been calculating fractions mentally for awhile and most of the times, we used the calculators... hmmph... ayway, the cheesticks and the cinnamon rolls did not turn out as nice as we expected... the pastry for the cheesesticks did not taste the same, we did not put enough cheese and huimin, if u are reading this... apparently, the bottome part of the cheesesticks still abit uncooked leh... so must put in the toaster for awhile before eating k... and the cinnamon rolls... we did not put enough sugar and cinnamon, so the rolls came out tasting like plain bread... :(
and there was sugar all over the floor... and ants came...
by the time we finished baking... both of us were exhausted and fell asleep on the sofa... haha... it was fun at the end of the day, except maybe next time we should bake in a cold room so the pastry would not start melting, be more generous with the sugar and cinnamon... it's okay, practice makes perfect...
and then at night, went to denise's 21st birthday party... did not really feel like going, but i already sort of said that i would go so... and i have not seen her for long... it was quite a happening party, got food, deejay, music, alot of pple... the sad thing was i did not know a single soul there except denise... but i have already got 'xin li zhun bei' when i decided to go... she looked really pretty in her black tube top dress...
went to cut and highlight my hair on saturday... finally my head feels much much lighter now... cos my hair's not so thick... and i got red highlights in my hair... thanks to prisy's recommendation... was supposed to go huimin's house on sunday... but it was raining so heavily the whole day that we cancelled... sorry huimin... i really wanted to go ur house...

MEeTIng uP...
met up with siti today... she was late today cos she thought i would call her and confirm our meeting today... so while waiting, i walked ard wisma and takashimaya... alot of stuff changed... like the walkway from the mrt station to wisma is gone... got new cafes and of course, so many pple shopping and mango's having a sale so there was a huge crowd... haven't seen siti for more than 2 years... dun think she has changed much... but she said i am starting to have an accent... but i still speak singlish leh... haha... went to lido to check out the movies out and decided to watch deja vu... with denzel washington... not bad and we both agreed that he likes to act in intellectual thinking movies... like the inside man... luckily the show was good otherwise siti will kill me rite... after that, went to far east to eat lunch... walked ard for abit to look for a neoprint shop... finally found it and we took neoprints like we used to back in jc... as we were eating, we were gossiping about pple in our class and reminiscing back on the times in njc... told her to go back to nj with me when school starts... and siti... u have to bring me ard NUS okay... after that, we walked ard wisma cos she wanted to look for a bag... went to borders cos she wanted to look for books... took some photos... i really missed her... she still can make me laugh like she did in nj... thank you siti...
went to kbox with pong yesterday... so annoying that it was raining so heavily also... after it all... i still found the one at cineleisure better... but we got to sing till our hearts' content... and i made a mistake... it was not as expensive as i thought before... bcos the last time i was paying for two... and here got more songs, especially the old ones, than in big echo... haha... heard that a new one opened in marina square, so would like to go try it out someday...
oh and today is Denise's birthday!!! Happy Birthday!! also never see her for sooo long already...

ONe WeeK hOMe...
last saturday... went to vivocity with mum and pong... really big shopping centre but the stuff are so expensive... and in my opinion, the stuff sold there are similar to the stuff sold in sydney... so pple no need to go to australia already... luckily we arrived there early and started shopping early... by the time we were about to leave... the place was sooo crowded... i got a headache just looking at the pple there...
sunday... stayed at home... watched the star awards at night... and cooked fettuccini with the sauce that i brought back for everyone... i dun think they liked it though cos they are not used to eating that i think... was very excited when star awards finally came... got to see all the mediacorp stars... too bad some of my favourite artistes did not turn up or win awards...
yesterday, went to singapore poly to have an eye examination... and the last time i went for an eye checkup according to their records was five years ago... so long already... and then after that... went to this complimentary makeover session with mum and pong... it was quite an experience... but not really a memorable one...
that's about it for now... it has been raining almost every day... so annoying... and everywhere i go, there are so many pple... pple here seriously have nothing better to do... like me... haha...

SIngApORe...
i am finally home again... after a year away... yesterday was the first time i flew on an airplane on my own... i was a little scared initially but luckily, the flight was relatively smooth, not much turbulence and stuff... although the food served sucked... what's new... anyway, when i was already seated in the plane, this girl came up to me and asked if i could swap seats with her so that she could sit with her parents... so okay, i didn't mind cos i was sitting right at the place where the food and stuff are... so it's very noisy cos the air stewardess walking up and down and stuff... so okay, i went to that seat and when i was like seating there for like five minutes, this guy came up to me and asked if he could switch seats with me so that he could sit with his friends... i was like what the hell, do i have a sign on my forehead saying that i am free to change seats or something??? so i was like nope, i have already changed seats once and i really dun want to switch again...
anyway, after arriving home, unpacked all the stuff, showered and went to sleep around 1am and my body have not adjusted to the time here yet so i was really really tired... and then i woke up at ard 5am the next morning... annoying becos i could not get back to sleep... and pretty much stayed at home the whole of yesterday... watched tv and the videotapes that pong taped for me... everything was basically the same i guess... not many changes as yet... but it's like raining practically everyday i heard... and i feel so humid and sticky all the time... not a good feeling...
went to the hospital with my grandma today to see the doctor for checkup early in the morning... just got back and it's raining again... oh and my results are out already... did quite well in my opinion... not bad... now i am worried about my professional practice result...

UpDaTeSSS...
friday prisy brought back princess hours... and in my opinion... and sorry if i offend anyone, but the show is actually not as nice as i thought it would be... like i thought "it started with a kiss" was better... princess hours was funny but the prince in the show is soooo slow and boring... we had to watch the show at like fast speed... i prefer the other prince, yul... he is quite cute and prisy said he looked abit like hyun bin... i felt so sorry for him... and apparently the part 2 is coming soon but he would not be in it... oh well... i am sure he is going to get his own lead show soon... haha...
had driving lessons practically everyday now, so that i can learn as much stuff and remember them when i come back... hoping to take the test next year so that i can get my red Ps... and maybe save enough money to buy a small car???!! cross my fingers...
went out on saturday... just prisy and me hanging out before i go home on wed... went to chatswood to look for black workpants first... but they did not have any... so we just shopped around abit and caught a train to the city... when we got there, went to sussex centre to meet up with prisy's friend, wendy and we ate lunch there... and guess what i had for lunch... spicy beef... haha... no surprises there... after that, i actually wanted to go eat waffles at passionflower but after walking around at market city, i still felt full so we did not eat waffles in the end... went karaoke after... wendy and me were like singing chinese songs all the way and prisy sang english songs... after that, prisy and me walked back to chinatown to look for emu oil... finally found them at the tourist shops in chinatown... and then after that, went to wait for michelle to come pick us up cos we were meeting uncle and auntie for dinner at eastwood... it was pouring that day... both our jeans got wet and dirty... and my poor umbrella could not withstand the strong winds... had to share with prisy... and michelle was late again so we decided to go buy the "chai dao kui" for auntie... finally got to eastwood ard 8pm... ate dinner and by the time we got home, it was already almost 10pm... and guess what we did after... watch princess hours... haha... we finally finished yesterday...

6 MoRe dAyS...
haven't been doing much these past few days... just waiting for the day to come for me to go home... the only highlights currently are my driving lessons... i actually have a dilemma, cos initially yochi recommended her driving instructor to me so i booked a lesson with him on monday rite, and then prisy told me that one of her friend's dad also teaches driving... and the thing is, both of them are really nice and patient... but prisy's friend's dad charged me much cheaper... $35 so of course i decided to go with him but i just feel bad towards the other instructor... what am i going to tell him tomorrow...
up till now, during my driving lessons, i learnt the different functions in the car, how to steer, signals, unlocking the steering wheel (btw, this is damn hard!!), i also got to do abit of reversing, and driving on the main road... i think i was really scared and nervous the first day, but after that, i was better and able to drive up to 50km/h... haha... the first day i only dared to drive at 20km/h and my feet was on the brakes the whole time... pple make driving look so easy, dun they... especially turning... only when i am driving then i realised that it is not as easy as it seemed... also started to learn how to park at the kerb... this was definitely hard... required spatial judgement and logical thinking... which i dun have... but practice makes perfect!!
