yup... had my first tupperware party just on wed... if u are wondering what the hell is a tupperware party... well that's just what it sounds like... a tupperware lady comes to ur house to promote tupperware to all ur guests and play some games involving tupperware and bake stuff using... guess what... tupperware!! haha... like if we were in singapore... no one would have heard of such a thing, let alone havng this kind of party... it's a new experience for me too...
it's actually a long story but prisy and me were "forced" into hosting a tupperware party... and there weren't many pple that i could invite... but prisy invited most of her workmates and i only invited yochi and anna... it was actually quite a success... started at ard 730pm with the lady playing a small game with us and after that, proceeded to making something called tuppertruffles... which were quite nice... anything with chocolate in it is nice to me... and then she went on to explain abt some of the tupperwares that she brought to demonstrate... and then played another game... i liked this game though... all of us (since we were all females, can u imagine a guy at this kind of party?)... abit suspicious... anyway, we were split into two teams and when she mentioned an item, we had to see who can produce that item the fastest from our handbags... it was really hilarious actually... like u wouldn't believe what we girls actually have in our handbags... like for eg when she said a calculator... no one has it except me and everyone was laughing while i was frantically digging thru my purse for it... i didn't really think it's funny to have a calculator with me... u actually need it sometimes... and stuff like screwdrivers... thank god no one actually carries one ard... weird??... tampons... haha... foreign money... fun...
and coincidentally, it was yochi's bdae that day too... so i bought a choc mud cake for her and we celebrated for her... this was the first time since i met her and anna since the vacation... and apparently... a few pple have dropped out of the course... hmmm... and... i actually only found out that night that my friend anna, whom i have known for like almost a year already... has a baby boy leh and i didn't even know abt it till now... i was totally shocked when she mentioned it during the party... not that we were really close or what... but shouldn't we know something like that?? not that i am trying to be kaypo or something...

"DowN"dAte...
get the joke??!
went out with karen on wed to the city... of course we sang karaoke and then went to search for a present for yochi's bdae... found this really cute photo album-like wooden box... you open the lid and u can pull out the photos... very nice... this was the first time i met up with karen since uni ended last year... she is still trying to look for a job... she's been here the whole time cos she did not go back home this time...
and on fri... went out with prisy again to the city... went to her fren wendy's house to eat pizza... with nao and edlyn... watched the punisher... a cheesy show btw... and then went to this bar called equilibrium... i did not really feel like going and it was raining that night and when we reached the bar... it was quite crowded... and i didn't feel comfortable... i really felt like going home and prisy had to leave early bcos i really did not like the place... so i did not talk at all and besides... the music's so loud... and i was tired... sigh... prisy was also like saying next time she dun have to invite me to go to these kind of places... i totally agree... they are just not my kind of place... :(
oh and btw... these few days... prisy and me have been on a "FULL House" marathon... the korean show... it is sooo funny and the characters are so cute... so weird to see song hae gyo laughing and acting cute... cos her shows mostly are all crying types... remember autumn in my heart? i love the show but there are just too much crying... actually when i went back to singapore in dec... pong already asked me to watch the show cos she has the vcd... but i was not really interested... and then prisy's fren wendy lent her the vcd and she was watching it one day and i also got hooked onto it... it's quite a good show actually... i can't believe i am saying this...but i think it's better than meteor garden... the two of them are so cute and funny together... i actually went online to research their ages... cos the both of us thought that she looked older than him... but they are actually of the same age... and... for those of u who dun noe... they are going out together... so sweet... and the guy rain is actually quite popular everywhere... although i have not heard of him until i watched the show... pong also like him... yuck...

BaCkStReet'S bAck...
Backstreet Boys!!! AAAHHHH... (imagine andrea screaming like a maniac)... well... i dun think anyone who noes me has seen me screaming like a maniac... but that's what i was doing that night at the concert... ohmigod... the concert was soooooooo good... i did not regret spending that money to watch the backstreet boys perform live... it was like a childhood dream come true for me... since i started liking them when i was 13... i have always wanted to go watch them perform live and last mon... i finally fulfilled my dream... i can't believe i am actually in the same space as them not far away from me... breathing the same air as me... the whole place was literally packed with screaming girls... oh man... it was amazing... when they first come out singing The Call... the whole place was just filled with screams... nick looked abit chubbier and we all felt that his eyes looked abit weird... like he was taking drugs or something... i hope not... brian still looked the same... older... aj, howie and kevin also looked the same... we were so so lucky to get the seats that we had...
they sang both old songs and new... stuff like All I Have to give... Quit playing games with my heart... I want it that way... Drowning...to new songs like Incomplete... I still... Crawling back to you... the effects were also excellent... they had like lasers... fireworks... and snow... they also took time out in between their songs to thank the fans individually... oh... and then brian actually came up to the level where we were sitting but by the time i ran there... he had already gone back down to the stage... i was so close...it was just absolutely breath-taking... after the concert, the four of us still kept talking abt them and i even bought their official merchandise... even though i got so many of their stuff already... i should have gotten the buttons... shit... i totally fell in love with them all over again... still remembered the first time i saw them on MTV... when i was 13... it was actually their video clip of everybody (backstreet's back)... they will always be the greatest band in my heart... i hope they will continue making more good music... I love the BACKSTREET BOYS!!!

ChiNeSe nEw yEaR...
firstly... would like to wish everyone a Happy Chinese New Year... hmmm... hope that this year will be much much better than the last... this year is also the year that many of the friends that i noe will be celebrating their 21st... whew... time really flies... all of us becoming adults now... no more teenagers and fooling around... haha... who says after 21 cannot behave like a small child??!! i dun care... i will still behave in whatever way i like and who cares what insignificant others say... missed chinese new year this year again... 2 yrs in a row already leh... will i have bad luck or something??!!
first up is my dearest fran's bdae... she held her bdae dinner on the 21st jan which unfortunately i could not attend... actually tried to call her home wanting to wish her happy birthday but she was not in... so i had to msg her instead... happy Birthday Fran!!! wish you well in whatever you do and best of health... fran is someone whom you can really depend on and she was there for me whenever i needed help or someone in crescent... i have known her since primary 5 and coincidentally this year marks our 10 year friendship... glad that our friendship is able to withstand the test of time and space... when i saw her the last time i went back, she was still the same fran that i knew and liked since crescent and kellock... wanna take this opportunity to thank you for ur precious friendship and unforgettable memories that u have given me... i will always treasure them... thank you, fran...
last week my granduncle oliver and his wife came to live with us for a few days... and thanks to them... i got to eat chinese food like fried fish, my favourite which i have not eaten for a long time... although we dun normally see each other back in singapore... i still remembered him teaching me maths when i was in kindergarten and primary school... counting sticks and numbers...
now that prisy has started working... i am the only one left at home and i am sooo bored... and when uni starts in march, i will have to go to school alone and endure the long train rides myself... sigh... still got three more years to go...
well... tonight is the backstreet boys concert in sydney entertainment centre... quite excited actually... finally will get the chance to see them up close... hopefully i can take some pictures and then can post here...

The WeDDiNg...
u noe what? i really am not a people-person and who noes why i am taking this course that i am studying now... i get a headache or feel uncomfortable whenever i am in crowded places... or when there are alot of people crowding into my personal space... that was what happened at the wedding... i dun noe many of the people there... just the few cousins that i have met so far...
firstly, we proceeded to this outdoor garden... it was not really a garden just this open space where the ceremony was held... the bride came in a car and she was wearing a traditional burmese costume... exchanged their vows... signed some stuff... and then all of us went up to congratulate them... take photos... mingle... make small talk... but as i dunno most of the pple there... i just stood there feeling so extra and perspiring... and then have to wait quite awhile for dinner to start while we were served drinks and some finger food... so they were going ard taking pics... talked to some of prisy's aunties and cousins... while a headache is brewing... finally dinner is served and we got to choose betwn lamb or chicken... i obviously chose chicken and it was not that great... and then more talking with the family members of both the bride and groom coming up to speak... toasted to them a few times... more small talking... not me though... i hate small talks and i have no idea what can i talk to these pple abt... dessert was served... which i didn't eat and we were told that we could go up to the small space in front to dance... i dun want to but everyone went and i thought it would not be nice if i did not... had quite a good time trying to dance though... it was funny seeing all these older pple dance... some of them danced quite well also... finally they served the wedding cake... chocolate flavoured... yum yum... the only nice tasting food that night besides the cheese pastry that they served before dinner...
this was only the fourth wedding i've been to... the other three were more formal... i just sat there at the table and ate all the food served and listening to them talk... there were no dancing... just felt that this one was more informal i think... and it wasn't held in a restaurant... well if i ever got married... i would not want a ceremony or anything... just go straight to my honeymoon... haha...

HappY 1st AnNivErsArY...
well, today marks my first blog exactly one year ago and the day i landed in sydney to begin my new chapter in life... sigh even my blogskin is still the same template... personally... i dunno if i have become more mature... and last year was not a bad year... tried a few new things and made some new friends... this job that i have now is the longest one i have had... 7 months already... studies... not too bad results... still dunno if this course is the one that i really want... and 'ji ren li xia' is definitely not as easy as it seems... but it beats staying on my own... will be turning 21 this year... full-fledged adult... well at least i got one of the C's already... working hard to get the others... haha... today is also prisy's cousin's wedding... got invited too... luckily the rain has stopped and it's a sunny outside... will update on the wedding...

CoMplAiNtS n BitChInGs...
nothing to talk much about... except that i found out only a few days ago that one of my fav supervisors at work quit and she was no longer working in the supermarket already... she was the one who trained me initially and she was nice to me... like i dun understand why all the nice pple always leave and the-not-so-nice ones are the ones that always stay... torturing poor pple like me... clean this clean that... the worst part of the job has to be the times when i have to go throw the rubbish at the backdock and it stinks like hell... they dun clean the place at all... food decomposing also they dun care... now that the two nicer supervisors have already left... dun really like going to work there... especially have to see the evil woman... WHY hasn't she leave yet??!! sigh... i seriously think the uni vacation is too long... nothing to do except now that michelle's got me hooked on crossword puzzles... that's what i've been doing... crossword puzzles and reading books... sad... and it's so hot outside and inside... dun even feel like going anywhere in this weather... looking forward to the backstreet boys' concert...

HaPPy nEw YeAr...
recently, i cannot blog so often already cos our broadband width's limited... so now we are thinking of upgrading our broadband plan and i was assigned the task of finding the most suitable plan for us... after researching for the whole afternoon and getting a humongous headache afterwards... i realised that there are alot of things to think abt when choosing a broadband plan... but i am glad i got the task of finding all these stuff cos i felt that i have learnt alot from it... we finally decided on a plan today and it will be better for all of us cos we get to download alot of stuff and i get to use the webcam whenever i like...
anyway... last sat was new year's eve and i was working and that day had to be one of the most shitty days of work i had... it was so freaking hot outside and then in the store also... and then there were so many pple and they bought so much stuff... i was perspiring like mad inside man and i didn't sleep well the night before also... so all in all... it was a very shitty new year's eve...
jan 1 2006... can be described in one word... HOT... the temp surged to 44 degrees that day leh... it was so freaking hot that we had to stay downstairs the whole day and i sat near the fan the whole time... just leaving the vicinity of the fan made me giddy from the heat... we watched movie after movie... closed all the windows and switched on all our fans... watched alien vs predator... the war of the worlds... iron giant... x men2... and news reports said that there were many bushfires occurring that day...
and then the next few days raining... weird weather rite... one day hot and then the next day cold... went to lane cove to swim with prisy... i swam in the indoor pool cos i did not want to sunburn again... and then after that both of us went to cherrybrook village to eat at this italian place that prisy said their pizza was very nice... both of us shared a pizza... it was okay lah... i would prefer dominoes pizza though... cheap and nice to eat...

StiLL oN HoliDae...
forgot to wish everyone a very merry christmas... haha is it too late... then happy new year lor...
sunday was christmas, so all the shops were closed... so uncle suggested bringing us to travel the newly-opened M7 expressway, so we drove all the way to this faraway place called cabramatta... which according to them was a place consisting mostly of vietnamese... everything was vietnamese stuff and the place was packed with them... it was good to see other cultures and they actually sell some really cool stuff (like the scissors used by the hairdressers)... spent quite some time there and we went to check out this place where all the designer houses are... seeing all these nice houses make me wish i have alot of money so that i can renovate my home to become like one of theirs... sigh... we even saw one home which has the bushes in their front lawn shaped into animals... really funny...
monday was boxing day... my uncle's side family has a gathering every year on this day... went to this beach (i dunno what it's called) abt an hour's drive and the place was also packed with families on picnic and bbqing... it was a really hot day also... the beach was really nice though... the sand was soft and clean, not like in singapore... and the water was clear you can see the small fishes... got quite a tan and bcos my sunblock lotion was not enough for this weather, my back got really sunburnt... it is all red and painful still... it's good that their family take the time to meet up with one another every year and they appear to be quite close... unlike my mum's and father's side family... we only see each other during chinese new year, and i am not even close to some of them, i dun even noe if i will recognise them if we see each other on the streets...
tues... post christmas sale... of course we went on a shopping trip to hornsby... to check out all the sale... bought a photo album to store all my photos... and then had to go to work in the late afternoon so didn't get to spend alot of time there...
the supervisors came back to me regarding the cookies... all of them said the famous amos cookies were very nice... they ate until they can't stop... and asked me where i got them etc... it was actually abit like a bribe thing...
and prisy and me are on a firefly marathon again... i missed watching it when i was in s'pore... and when the hell is Serenity coming out??!!!
and then yesterday... prisy and me went to the city for karaoke... yay!! found some nice songs again... by rainie yang... realised she's a really good singer though, she always like to act cute also... here sing karaoke is much cheaper than singing in kbox leh... like tat time me and huimin went to sing... so expensive...

ParT II...
Thurs... went out in the morning, wanted to go to toa payoh to get stuff that i wanted to bring back with me... went to toa payoh popular queuing up wanted to pay money already then realised that i forgot my wallet... so stupid rite... can't believe how dumb i was... in the end i had to go all the way back home again to get it... stupid andrea...
met up with huimin, jo, fran and esther to play bowling... so long never play already that's why the first time was very sucky... the second time was better... enjoyed myself... but the dumb dumb sherry said that she will join us later in the end also never turned up... angie also... said want to meet us at raffles place, in the end when we got there... she also did not turn up... quite disppointed... went to wisma to get my famous amos cookies before heading to raffles place... whoa... so many pple queuing up for it lor and i think some pple were actually quite irritated with me cos i was taking such a long time... for my supevisors at work and for myself... huimin they all had to wait for me also... thanks guys...
went to this curry place esther recommended... i personally felt that the curry tasted the same as the one we ate in wisma... but esther said that the one at raffles place was more worth it...
after that... jo came up with the idea to walk to esplanade... i wouldn't have minded normally but it was actually raining quite heavily that night leh... so we had to take out our umbrellas... and something funny happened... dun want to say lah... just fran and her "passed-down-from-her-family" umbrella incident... haha... we were laughing and talking so loudly that everyone was looking at us at the traffic lights...
reached the esplanade... fran wanted to go eat her haagen daz ice cream cos jo's got this discount coupon... btw... when we were at great world city... me and humin saw the ben and jerry's shop and we were so excited! i really wanted to eat ben and jerry's when i went back... oh it was sooo nice, especially the brownie one... yummy...
all in all it was really a good night for me... the day before i had to leave to go back to sydney... thanks for spending the day with me guys... thanks for the cards and prezzie...
23 dec 2005... fri had to wake up early morning to leave for the airport and back to sydney... back to work and uni and have to wait another year, if i am lucky and if i earn enough money probably, to go back home again... sigh... i suddenly have this feeling when i was waving goodbye that going back home makes it harder for me to leave... suddenly i felt so homesick again... tried really hard not to cry in front of them... sometimes i never know when the feeling of homesickness will come and grab me and then i will start thinking abt my family and start missing them... dun think i will ever get used to this feeling...

mon... went to the polyclinic to collect my blood test results... mostly okay but cholesterol levels abit high... after that, went to sgh to visit nainai... when i reached there, she was sleeping so i woke her up and stayed till pong and prisy came too...
the three of us then went to plaza singapura... both of them went to shop and i went there to meet up with piyo... she was late so we went to long john silver's... the chicken combo was still as tasty as i remembered...
saw a pair of sandals that i liked... with pink straps but the shop only has one pair left and it was quite dirty so i asked them to find out for me if they could ask the other outlets if they have it... pong went to pickup for me at wisma... very diffcult to find a pair of sandals that is cheap and at the same time does not hurt my leg... but the strap still quite painful but it was quite cheap so can't expect much...
piyo finally came... she looked the same but i told her that she looked abit shorter compared to the last time i saw her... we went up to the cinema level to check out the movies... she wanted to watch the memoirs of a geisha... at the counter then realised that it only come out in jan... she blur... thought it comes out in dec 19... so in the end watched king kong... and it was so crowded that we had to sit in the first 5 rows... but the movie was quite good... abit scary sometimes but also funny at times... walked ard for awhile... then went to get something to eat to bring into the theatre... saw this stall selling some hong kong 'ji dan zai'... decided to try... not bad... but had to wait quite a long time for them to make...
piyo is going to adelaide to study in jan... study podiatry... she was offered a scholarship by sgh and the bond is 8 yrs!! super long lor... but at least she got out of the course that is doing now... she dun like it... i told her maybe next time... she and angie can come to sydney to visit me...
tues... day of pampering... went to highlight my hair and to this facial place in orchard... actually it was mum who got this complimentary coupon and she gave it to me and prisy... the place was so nice and huge... really love it and the facial was also quite good... after that, went to bugis with prisy and pong then later we went to meet up with mum at plaza singapura... wanted to show her this coldwear shop that was on sale... but the stuff that i wanted was sold out already... in the end... only managed to buy this coat at this fashion... quite cheap also for a coat...
wed... nainai was finally discharged from the hospital... the doctor did not even come and tell us what caused her to have the dizziness and spasms... only the nurse and the pharmicist came... shouldn't they come and tell us what was wrong?? stupid hospital... anyway... uncle sent nainai and us back to her home and then we went to the temple to pray... i noe nainai does not like to stay in our home but it's not safe for her to live on her now... i hope that she'll be fine from now on... but her leg's still worrying...

WoRrY...
went back to nyp on sat to meet up with inthu... oh man... nyp is still the nicest schoool i've been to compared to that hole i am in now... nyp is so nice and big and so spacious... got nice swimming pool also... was actually late and poor inthu had to wait for me... sat in front of mcdonalds' and talked for awhile... and after that, she brought me up to the OT garden to look at the plants... and guess who we saw... silvana!! hi... actually wanted to ask the class out for dinner or something... but heard that they are all on placements and busy so in the end, decided not to... next time k...
after they watered their plants and showed me ard the garden... silvana left first and me and inthu went down to the north canteen to drink... my fav soya bean... haha... i even ate the grilled fish and chips... still as tasty as before... halfway thru... mum suddenly called and said nainai was sent to the A&E department in sgh... i was like what happened and of course started to panic...
was supposed to meet siti later but then i called her to cancel it and inthu was really kind to go with me all the way to sgh... thanks...
reached there and found out that nainai almost fainted again in her house... luckily prisy was there with her... waited with mum and uncle and prisy for them to come out and tell us what was wrong with nainai... stayed there till they transferred her to the ward and said she has to stay there a few days for further observation... poor nainai... she hates to stay in hospitals...
sun... went swimming in the morning... and after that... went to see nainai again... cos it was sunday... so the ward was especially crowded with relatives... and then 2 of my uncles came also and then nainai's brother and sisters also came to visit her... so in the end... the whole place was really crowded... they told us that her blood test came out okay... blood pressure was also okay... they still cannot tell us what was wrong with nainai... so they have to slowly do some more tests on her...
after that... went out to marina square again!! to eat swensens... yummy... so long never eat already... ordered my fav fish and chips... ordered my fav frosted choc malt and then later they came and tell us that the choc balls no more already... so in the end i didn't get to eat my frosted choc malt... ate till i was so full man... later... prisy, pong and me went shopping ard there... bought another hook earrings again... obsession...

EaT, eAt, and MorE eaTiNg...
didn't really do much for the first week since i came back...
except last fri when i met up with sherry, huimin, jo and fran... i think all of us still looked the same and also behave the same... not much changed since i left in jan... we met in our usual place in orchard and went to cafe cartel in cineleisure to eat... ordered too much already and jo also very full... so in the end... did not finish our seafood platter and we still ordered waffles... yummy... very hard to find waffles in sydney also... so no matter how full i was that day... i still ate the waffles... we talked abt what happened to them during this past yr and also my life in australia... i am glad that we all have our own blogs... so that at least even though we never really communicate during the year... we still at least know what's going on in our lives... we ate, talked and took pictures... halfway thru... sherry had to leave... and after the dinner, we walked over to the youth park thinking to look for a place where we can sit and talk... jo suggested to walk to the esplanade... me and fran were like no... so far away leh and so late already... took pictures in front of the red bus in the youth park... then we went into cineleisure again cos there got no space and got alot of pple skateboarding... shopped for awhile inside... went up to the sofas and sat down there and talked till 11pm... gossiped some more... talked till we were the only ones left there... even better... got more space... after that... fran went to take bus at the busstop outside cineleisure and jo, huimin and me walked to orchard mrt...
on the way... i saw the escalators outside wisma very nice... got multi colours... so i asked them to take pics... when we wanted to take the stupid colours changed and we had to stand there and wait for like 10 min... for the colour to change back to the multi colour one... it was really funny...
and then yesterday... huimin went out with me and pong to sing karaoke at cineleisure k-box...whoa... damn expensive leh... from 2-7pm... it costs us $16 each...but we all sang till our heart's content... hmmm... i think this is the first time i heard huimin singing... i always thought she was more the english songs kind of girl... haha... but she sang the chinese songs really well... not bad... and then after that... pong left first and esther came and met up with us... btw... esther... it's not that i purposely walked pass you, it's that i really didn't see you cos i was looking at the sky outside and wondering if it was going to rain...
went to paragon, walked awhile inside the supermarket and then went to lucky plaza, to check out this perfume that i wanted... here more expensive, so i decided to get it when i go back...
after that, we decided to eat at the foodcourt in wisma... they renovated the whole place and it was so crowded... but very nice place... realised that the mcdonald's in wisma is gone!!! how can that be??!! what else in orchard changed that i dun noe abt?? haven't really got the chance to walk there... finally decided on this north indian place that esther and huimin recommend... the food not bad except the portion all very small... and hey... u two promised to bring me to the curry place in raffles place and little india ah... dun forget!!

HoME swEeT hOmE...
finally... i am back home... reached home late monday night... my parents and sister came to fetch us at the airport... first thing my mum said to me was... andrea... u have become fatter... i was like thanks mum... :(
showered and unpacked my luggage... felt like santa claus, giving out presents... very excited to be home... everything felt different... some of the things at home have changed...
something horrible happened that night... my grandma came over to stay in my house that night, and i heard her going into the toilet... okay... before that... she hurt her knee during her trip to cameron highlands... it was quite bad... okay... so i woke up, went in and asked if she was alright... and she said her leg was very painful so i helped her to massage her knee... after that... she slowly tried to limp out of the toilet with me standing behind her... suddenly... her right leg started to tremble really badly... and then her whole body started to shake really badly... i kept calling her and asking her if she's alright... she did not seem to hear me and then she suddenly leaned back and started to collapse onto me... so i quickly slipped my arms under her arms to support her while at the same time, kept calling her... still no response... i started to panic big time... i started to shout for prisy who was sleeping and she woke up and she too... started to help me support nainai and calling her... nainai actually fainted... i quickly ran to my parents' room to call for mum and papa... when we went back into the room... she was sitting on the bed with prisy and pong and she did not know what happened to her... all of us were so worried about her...
i did not dare to sleep properly the whole night... in case she need to go to the toilet again or something... the next day... we accompanied her to see the chinese sensei... they said she pulled a nerve/vein... and gave her acupuncture... but till now... her leg is still giving her trouble... she cannot bend her knee to walk up and down the steps... that's why i spent the last few days with her... make sure that she has someone ard with her always... i am so scared that something will happen to her and no one's ard to help if she stays alone in her house... i dunno what's gonna happen when we go back... who's going to help look after her?
i feel so helpless when i see her limping along and especially when she's walking up and down the stairs... i can only stand beside her and make sure that she does not fall... but she is so stubborn also... refused to go see a doctor... everyone's been telling her to go see a doctor... take x-rays and find out the cause... she refuse...

4 dAys To gO...
slowly counting down the days when i will be going home... can't wait...
mon... went back to uni to look for some books for my last assignment... almost finished but dunno whether i included everything... cos heard that other people's assignment got like over 10 pages and i only have 6 pages... consoling myself by saying that it's the quality that counts and not the quantity rite...
after that... went to parramatta to meet up with my clinical supervisor to sign the evaluation forms... i seriously think that either she has gotten me mixed up with some other girl or she remembered wrongly... bcos she kept telling me all these things and i dun even remember doing them... and the group that i was in charge of looking after was not the group that she kept talking to me about... she kept going on and on about this girl whom i know wasn't in my group but i didn't want to correct her bcos they were actually good things that she remembered... she failed tina, another girl who went with me to the camp, bcos she did not listen to her instructions... the supervisor even asked me if it was fun and if i wanted to go again next year... of course i said yes even when i was thinking... hell no! i dun want to go again... i hate camps and taking care of these kids were not easy and no way am i going back to luna park again!!!
tues... stayed at home... did nothing, actually i was trying to finish up my assignment... boring day... dun even have any nice shows to watch now... when exams are over... all the shows are gone and when my exams are here... all the nice shows had to come at that time... what the hell... CSI is gone... and now left survivor only...
oh and btw... prisy heard that the backstreet boys are coming to australia in jan and singapore... we are definitely going to go check out the prices and i really want to go... never seen them live before... but i know that the tickets must be really expensive...better start saving money now... i am so broke...
yesterday... was supposed to meet up with amelia and karen for lunch... and then till 1pm, they still haven't contacted me yet... like i dunno why i keep hanging out with them when they always disappoint me sometimes... not that they are not nice... they are really nice pple... but like i feel left out everytime i hang out with them... cos they are always speaking canto and i feel so extra... and then i decided to call amelia... she haven't even woken up yet lor... but after that, we met up with karen and went to this christmas shop in alexandria... faraway place... they have all sorts of nice tree ornaments... the nice balls that u use to hang on the trees... the santa claus stuffed toys... alot of nice christmas stuff... and then after that... we went back to the city to sing karaoke... amelia's friends (canto-speaking) came also... and i was like great... they all were singing canto songs and i was the only one singing chinese/english songs... and then amelia's cousin came also and she started smoking... oh man... i can't even breathe properly... how to sing...
and then i had to leave early cos michelle was having a tupperware party at home... wanted to catch a train back... and the silly amelia insisted on driving me back... i was like no way... i told her nope, u can stay here, i can just catch a train... otherwise u have to drive all the way back to pennant hills and then come back to the city again... waste of time and petrol... so when they were buying KFC... i quickly sneaked out and ran to the train station... before i could even buy my ticket... amelia came and she saw me and i was like shit... so i started running... so childish rite... the both of us... running ard the train station... in the end... two against one... and she finally drove me back... i really felt bad though... silly girls...

MeMorIes...
exams are over... and one last assignment to go before i officially finish this year of uni... can't believe it's already almost a year since i came here... it has been a good year, all in all, except for a few hiccups along the way... really looking forward but at the same time, a sense of alienation?? i dunno... to going home... dunno what to expect from pple... family and friends...
was looking thru my photos and autograph book today... realised that i have pushed aside some of the things that happened during school... in crescent, nj, sajc and nyp...
funny things like our water parade during lessons... we would start taking our water bottles out and drink as a whole group... the ups and downs... the mass aerobics sessions... our graduation ceremony... the teachers...
nj... drawing on each other's notes... laughing at the teachers... the funfair... siti and me's maggot-infested locker... can't remember what we put in it though... it was really bad... u can smell it when u walk pass the locker... i still remembered freddy had to help us remove the maggots and we had to spray alot of air freshner... the time when we trained so hard for nafa until we almost 'benged'... and i jumped the furthest i ever jumped in standing broad jump...and everyone started to sing happy birthday... the teachers... the teacher's day picnic... the soya bean drink that i always drink at least twice a week...
sajc... although i was only there for the first three months... had a really fun time there... pe lessons were my favourite... especially when we were playing floorball... melissa and lay kuan... the queens of 'ponning'... always influencing us to pon lessons...
nyp... only been there for one semester but i am so glad to have met my class... OT 0402... the school... nice and clean swimming pool... nice soya bean drink also... nice teachers... pbl on culture...
just want to say that i really glad that fate has given me the chance to meet all these pple and have these memories to treasure till i grow old... i will always remember them... even though we might not see each other again... to all of u... thanks for sharing these unforgettable memories with me...

nj... drawing on each other's notes... laughing at the teachers... the funfair... siti and me's maggot-infested locker... can't remember what we put in it though... it was really bad... u can smell it when u walk pass the locker... i still remembered freddy had to help us remove the maggots and we had to spray alot of air freshner... the time when we trained so hard for nafa until we almost 'benged'... and i jumped the furthest i ever jumped in standing broad jump...and everyone started to sing happy birthday... the teachers... the teacher's day picnic... the soya bean drink that i always drink at least twice a week...
sajc... although i was only there for the first three months... had a really fun time there... pe lessons were my favourite... especially when we were playing floorball... melissa and lay kuan... the queens of 'ponning'... always influencing us to pon lessons...
nyp... only been there for one semester but i am so glad to have met my class... OT 0402... the school... nice and clean swimming pool... nice soya bean drink also... nice teachers... pbl on culture...
just want to say that i really glad that fate has given me the chance to meet all these pple and have these memories to treasure till i grow old... i will always remember them... even though we might not see each other again... to all of u... thanks for sharing these unforgettable memories with me...

UnfOrGettAblE...
25 November 2005. I will probably remember this day... what started out as a good day because today was the last day of exams and beginning of the holidays and i unofficially finished year one of uni, turned out to be a shitty day...
today, after neuroscience exam, we had to rush to finish our human occupation portfolio, and because we were in a rush, the referral letter was a mess, dun even know what we are writing... btw... our case conference got 37, which was good but was probably the lowest among our class... so anyway, the three of us were rushing to finish the portfolio, and yochi, mel, tina and jane waited for us for three hours, becos we agreed to go to strathfield to eat to celebrate jane and tina' s birthdays... okay, so we went to this korean place, not ceci, but another korean bbq restaurant... to eat that spicy chicken and cheese that i said was really nice... ordered that and bbq beef... it was so spicy, all of us were like tearing up and turning red and sniffing... we actually had six refills of tea... but it was good... and then karen and i decided to treat them bcos they waited three hours for us to finish the portfolio...
and then after that... went to woolies to buy ice -cream to 'cool' our mouths... haha... so the six of us sat outside woolies and ate ice-cream... talked abt our excitement at going back home... but mel, karen and yochi are staying here during the holidays... at least i have company during the holidays after coming back...
after that, took the express train to epping with yochi... when we were about to get down at epping, i suddenly realised that i lost my phone bcos i remembered holding it in my hand... so i quickly turned back and started searching the whole cabin... i really started to panic... took out everything in my bag, looked everywhere, and this lady sitting behind me was kind enough to offer to lend me her phone to try and call my phone... i tried, but it was actually no use bcos my phone was on silent mode... and bcos the train was an express... it went all the way to hornsby and i got down there... i quickly went to report to the guard on the train and he went with me back into the cabin to look for my phone... but to no avail also... i also went to report at the station office... by that time, i really was super upset... can't remember my phone model and home number... luckily i got the home number written down in my wallet... called home and realised that yochi actually called prisy when she saw that i did not get down at epping...
and when she tried to call my phone... a guy picked up the phone... and the guy was actually the one sitting beside me in the train... he was really kind enough to pick up my phone and return to yochi for me... so now... my phone's with yochi and will be getting it back from her on monday...
today's incident really woke me up and i never want to experience it again... i cannot even imagine what will happen if someone picked up the phone and took it... i would really be in deep shit...
this incident has really taught me to keep my phone properly and not be so careless...

FiRefLy/ SerEniTy...
What a hectic last week of school before the exams this has been! so many assignments due the week before the exams and dun even have time to blog...
this is also all prisy and michelle's faults... especially prisy... before i came here, i dun even like to watch those sci-fi shows but now, after i came here, prisy got me hooked on shows like star wars, lord of the rings, fifth element, star trek, aliens, and now the latest one is Firefly...
it is produced by the same producer of buffy the vampire slayer... and i must say, the show is really good... very funny and the characters are all very interesting and funny...
didn't even hear abt this show until when i came back from work that night, and heard prisy and michelle laughing...
and i sat there for a while, thinking to rest for a little while and then do my assignment, and before i know it... shit... i was so hooked on the show... and the movie Serenity is actually based on the series firefly...
okay, so all of us sat there in front of the tv, till 2am watching the show... and guess what... we decided to go watch the movie... the movie has already been out since september already... and when i first saw the trailer, i didn't really like the show... but the movie was really good... one of the best movies i've seen...
oh man, all of us are now so hooked with the show... that's why we were watching the show on both nights consecutively... and i ended up starting my assignment just two days before it was due... and michelle actually found out that Joss Whedon, the producer actually wanted to continue with season 2 but the show got cut off... i actually thought the series was pretty good...
she even went to buy the dvd for the show... and we were also like saying, if there was like a petition to support the show for season 2, all of us will sign on it...
went to this faraway place called Alexandria yesterday... anyway, bought another skirt.... i dun even know why i keep buying skirts when i dun even wear them... and now it's so hot and the stupid flies are back again... like seriously, they are everywhere... sickening :(
wed... went to eastwood to eat at the roast pork shop with amelia and karen... received an accelerated program in cantonese... all thanks to karen... she taught me how to pronounce the menu in canto and also taught me how to speak canto... after eating, they came over to do their assignments... wed was a super super hot day... stayed till 7pm... hmm...i think we laughed and talked nonsense more than we did our assignments...

HoME...
so sian rite now... i should be mugging now... but i dun feel like it... so i am going to blog and complain again... hmmm...
as usual... exams are coming, and i haven't started studying and all my assignments are accumulating ( what's new?)... i am so tired every time i go home... especially after work... and then i dun feel like studying or i would feel sleepy after reading like 2 pages... no matter how much i sleep, also not enough... i think something's wrong with me...
not much happening stuff these few days... except at work... the evil woman is becoming nice to me... made me really suspicious... i won't be fooled by her though... like on mon... i pressed the wrong key and the transaction already went thru... so i had to call for her and she apologized to the customer on my behalf and she even pat my back and asked me not to worry abt it... what the hell... anyway, i still dun like her...
kept thinking and doing other things like watching tv and reading and surfing the internet instead of mugging... and thinking of the things that i want to do and buy when i go back... can't wait... counting down the days when i am finally home again...really miss it...

GuiLTy...
Felt very guilty this week... cos i 'pon' classes... felt more guilty now than when i 'pon' during jc days... shit...
watched infernal affairs that day, the whole 3 series... so confusing and complicated... at the end of the third one, i am still like' what?', still got alot of questions unanswered... but it was overall quite a good movie, unlike the Initial D... watched halfway and I already felt like sleeping, which I did... and then yesterday went swimming at Lane Cove, and then went to eastwood... bought the twin effect dvd and watched it with prisy... the first one was funny but the second one... we were like huh?... what's the connection between the first and second one? no vampires in the show also... at the dvd shop, also saw the chinese show, Qian Nu YOu Hun... wanted to buy it, but i know that if i bought it... I won't be able to study...
thurs... went to the city with amelia and karen to sing karaoke... yay... now they have this sing for 3 hours for 10 dollars and get a free drink policy... after that, met up with karen's mum... apparently her mum is in the macau rotary club and a group of them from the rotary club are here for a week to promote macau... she was surprised when i told her that i know about rotary clubs and singapore also have one... and that I was from interact club in jc... although everyone knows that the interact club is also known as the slacker's club in nj... never really did much also... just did alot of community service...
this week... worked almost everyday except tues and sun... sian ah... i am starting to get so sick of my workplace... like I dun mind if i am actually being a cashier, but bcos it's very quiet at night, i am more like a cleaner... clean this, clean that, make sure that everything is clean, no food scraps or onion skin or rice grains... blah blah blah... and i noe that they purposely dun want me to work on sundays, cos you will get higher pay per hour if u work on sundays... they prefer to get the younger pple to work so that they dun have to pay them as much...

Wk 11...
last fri... both prisy and me went to macquarie shopping centre after dropping michelle at work and oh my god, we spent the whole day there... can u imagine?? we went shopping at first of course, i bought a dress, and this was the first dress i owned... bought it from tree of life, which is this indian store, selling all the indian stuff like necklace, bracelets, clothes, etc... they even have the indian smell...
ate pretzels with prisy... yum yum, and after that, shop some more and after lunch we went to borders, sat there and started reading my In Death series... i am collecting the whole series, so when i go back, i will go look for the next 2 books... I read Origin in death while prisy read survivor in death... i was saying to her that the newer books were not as interesting as the previous ones... the storyline has become more serious and not that funny anymore... so the two of us sat there and read till like 4pm... and then go back to epping to pick michelle up again... did not even go back home...
sat worked in the morning, and prisy and me went to castle towers to shop... again... actually she wanted to go look at the cosmetic store there after she read this magazine on make-up and got some 'enlightenment'... auntie and uncle came back home that night... and they brought back alot of snacks for us... yay... they brought famous amos cookies (which the three of us are crazy abt), the calbee hot and spicy potato chips, nuts and of course, my 3-in-1 milo, which i cannot live without... the three of us were so excited and the cupboard was full of snacks until we had to put them all into the garage... keep them for 'emergencies'...
yesterday, was our HO presentation... stayed up till late that monday night to finish the presentation... i was so tired, cos i also had to work that day, so by the time i got back home, it was already 1030pm... okay, we actually had to do a role play cos the presentation was actually supposed to be a case conference... so karen and amelia thought of using the hello kitty toys as the members in the conference... our tutor and the class were so amused by us... they were like, where did u guys get those toys???... apparently, the hello kitty phenomenon was an ' asian' thing... still remembered the fightings and long queues in mcdonald's when the stupid ugly cats came out... these pple are nuts...
i personally feel that out of the 3 groups that presented that day, ours was the briefest... the information we had were very brief, and the other 2 groups one were all quite detailed... anyway, now that the presentataion is over, we also have to do the portfolio due in wk 14...
viva for COP is coming again... still have not started learning my manual muscle testing and ROM tests... and my splint... i am so screwed...

today's blog will be a short one, i hope...
nothing much happened during the weekend, except that i was working on both sat and sun, resulting in me not doing any studying and assignments... if u are wondering abt what happened to the evil woman, she STILL has not quit yet or be fired, which i have no idea why, bcos i know that alot of pple really hate her... she has taken to complaining to me recently, and i'm like thinking, pls stop talking to me, i dun want to hear anything coming out from you... but of course, i will not say that, i just nod and agree to whatever she says... still harbouring the hope that she will be fired or she will quit soon...
uni... been making splints for COP these few weeks... not that easy to make though... as my lecturer said, it's just like cooking or sewing, it's either u can do it or you can't... and we have to make one for the viva... next week is our HO presentation already, and we haven't even finish doing one-third of what we have to do... good luck to our group... i hate to do things last minute, but somehow, i always end up doing that... and i start to panic cos the deadline is getting nearer, and i dun do the stuff well...

WhAt a WeeK...
last tues prisy suggested that I join her friends to strathfield to eat at the korean place ceci... when we arrived there, it was closed, i was really disappointed, i was looking forward to eating there... so we went to the other side of the station and found this other korean place, i dun really noe the name cos it's in korean... the place was really nice though, very cosy and we initially decided to dare ourselves to try this special spicy chicken dish... even the waiter also said it was really spicy, and then when our dish came, we realised that it wasn't what we wanted... the waiter heard wrongly and gave us this chicken with melted cheese dish... i must say that the waiter did the right thing... cos all of us liked it although it was also very spicy... we were like saying if this dish is that spicy already, can u imagine what the one that we originally wanted would be like?!... and the one that we had was really good... it was like chicken on top the plate of melted cheese, and underneath the cheese, was a layer of potato and crispy bread... yum yum...
after that, prisy's friend, xueting, treated us to icecream bought from woolies, it's the caramel drumstick, and it was nice... tues was a fruitful day for us, we tried 2 new things, the korean place and the caramel icecream...
fri was neuroscience mid semester exam, i thought it was not that difficult, as compared to the sample paper that i tried doing... should be okay... assignments are starting to pile up, it's always neverending...
final exam timetable came out already... 21-25 nov... better start studying already... i have to keep telling myself that from now on... time really passes... i have been in sydney for almost a year already... seems like yesterday, i was at changi leaving to come here... sigh...
yesterday... worked until 4pm and after that, went with prisy to her colleague, Lauren's, house party... ate till i was so full, shouldn't have eaten the shephard's pie at home... and i also drank alcohol... that was a first for me... till now, i have only drank wine but yesterday, i drank something green called midori?? it was yucky... maybe bcos i am a first-timer... prisy was even better... she drank that, and tequila and cowboy... whatever that is... i was told that tequila is actually a really disgusting drink, that's why pple drink it down in a shot... i had fun yesterday, although i was quite tired after work... we ate, sang songs and danced in Lauren's living room, her colleagues were really funny and young-at -heart though... most of them are like mothers with kids already, but they still act like teenagers, dancing and singing along to the songs, which btw, most were songs which i have never heard of before...

FaRewELL...
Farewell, our dear Birdie...
yes, our cute little cockatail died yesterday at approx. 8am... all of us are really upset about it, especially uncle, cos he was the one who spent the most time with the bird...
events that led up to his death: birdie flew away AGAIN when uncle brought him out into the garden on mon... so we all had to knock on neighbours' doors and look for him... history repeating itself... and then at night when we came home from uni, uncle told us that birdie flew into one of our neighbour's house and they brought him to a vet, bcos they have 2 cats and the cats were attacking birdie... but according to uncle, birdie did not seem hurt when uncle went to the vet's to fetch him home... and then when uncle brought him out of the cage, we realised that he did not look okay and he was not his usual self... he was just like sitting there letting us pat him and he was really quiet... he did not even look like the birdie we had... prisy even suggested that we bring him to a vet the next day, to see if he has any internal injury or something... we all thought that he was just traumatised by the cats and he would be alright after a few days, just like the previous time he flew away...
and then the next day, when i woke up and went downstairs, michelle told me that birdie had died and uncle buried him already... i was like 'what???'... didn't even get to say goodbye or see him for the last time... and it was raining outside also...
it was a sad day...

HolE in My poCkEt...
i am getting reaLLY bad at blogging... had to wait till monday then I can come to school to blog...
anyway, michelle came back from singapore last week, bearing my favourite essential peanut butter and calbee hot and spicy potatao chips... i cannot live without my peanut butter, and mum even bought a super jumbo-sized one... it was the biggest bottle of peanut butter i have ever seen... can last me till dec and then when i go back, can buy some more...haha...
last fri... it was like a shopping spree for me... my pocket now has a huge hole, and i still owe auntie and michelle money... have to wait till i get my pay then can pay them back... i dunno what the hell i bought... no wait, actually i noe... i bought 2 blouses, a bag for prisy as her bdae present and 2 blouses for pong... this was bcos michelle had a 40% discount voucher for espirit so the three of us went to the espirit shop at macquarie that fri to see whether there were any nice clothes... and then after that, we went to hornsby again to shop, crap... i feel so guilt afterwards, cos i have never spent so much money in a day before and i am not even a shopping fanatic...
sat and sun was a slacking weekend again for me... did not study for my neuroscience exam this fri as i have planned, instead was watching movies with prisy... i did alright for my anatomy exam, which was not too difficult, maybe bcos i have already learnt the stuff before...
okay, i was thinking about this matter since last week already, but i was still undecided abt whether i should write it in my blog... i have since decided to write it, if it offends anyone, whatever...
the thing is... i dun really feel comfortable sometimes about lending my notes to pple, especially when an exam is coming and i need them to study rite, but then if i dun lend it to them, pple will think, why this person so selfish?, etc... and they won't friend me anymore... oh man, do i sound childish?! but that's what i really think when this kind of thing happens... so everytime i feel really hard not to say no to them, i noe it's not their fault, but sometimes, i do need my notes to study... and sometimes, even my assignments also... i mean, the assignments are what i spend my time researching for information and these pple just take and copy, it's just really unfair... there's no way i can tell them no, even in a nice way...
and then yesterday, we already agreed to meet up at someone's house to discuss our HO project, and then one hour before we were supposed to meet up, one of them called and told me that she suddenly have something on and have to cancel the meeting, so okay, and then i found out that the reason was bcos she went out to watch a movie, not bcos she had something really impt to attend to...
i was so pissed... i dun think i want to do another project with them again, if this happened the next time...

1sT CliNicAl plAceMeNt...
one week of uni break just flashed by... came back from camp on fri and slacked the entire weekend and on mon...
camp was more good than bad, i think... it was quite fun... but taking care of 5 kids, aged 11-14 was definitely not easy... especially when 2 of the kids dun want to participate in any of the activities, and kept ignoring my instructions... the lessons that i've learnt were that, next time, bring games to play, and something to read to occupy myself... there was so much free time in between activities, ohmigod, and i didn't bring a book to read or something to entertain myself and the kids... in the end, we all sat down and watched tv... the first 2 days of camp was shitty, cos it was raining the whole time... the kids were getting restless, and they had nothing to do...
one good thing abt the camp was that the accomodations and food was good, we had our own tv and toilet, and the six of us shared a room... the food was okay also, except that we had the same thing for every single meal... i ate pasta till i am so sick of it now...
i got to go canoeing and archery, which was fun, cos i haven't had the chance to do archery till now... btw, i sucked at it though... none of my arrows hit the target, all of them landed on the floor... missed abseiling though, cos i was on crafts duty that day... i would have liked to try that...
i was really lucky to have met good supervisors on this placement though... cos having a horrible supervisor could ruin your entire practical experience... they were all really nice and took good care of us...
did i mention that the camp was for kids with juvenile arthritis? it's really sad to see them like that though... most of the kids looked fine physically, and only two of the kids there were in wheelchairs... but all of them were smiling and having fun... and they had to take alot of medications and injections before mealtimes... it was really heart-wrenching to see them like this, and some of them are still so young... i think the youngest was only 8 yrs old...
one of the things that my supervisor said during the camp really touched me... she said that although these kids have been through much more than what most adults in their lifetime have gone through, they still wake up and face everyday with a smiling face... and that's really true, most of them truly enjoyed themselves during the camp and that's probably why they kept coming back to the camp each year, so that they can do the activities without having to feel the fear of being rejected or their friends laughing at them...
we also went to Luna Park on wed... and i am NOT going back there ever again... i hate to go on the rollercoasters and the things that spin you ard... but i had no choice cos i have to look after the kids... and oh man... i almost cried when i sat the stupid thing that spins you ard... it was really bad... i screamed the entire time it was moving and also when i was on the rollercoaster... i preferred 'tamer' games like the bumper cars and the ferris wheel, which we didn't get a chance to go on... i put my foot down on the one that went upside down though... definitely not me...
the kids these days are really daring... i felt so old standing next to them... and they already start putting makeup, they brought like hair rollers and straighteners with them... and i'm like... how old are these kids??... i dun even noe how to put them on myself...
that was abt it i guess, i think all the OT students on this placement enjoyed it though... i wouldn't mind going back again... if i get well-behaved kids...
oh and i wish to mention that when i was Luna Park... i saw the racing horse game, and it reminded me of the NJ carnival, and I had a really memorable time then... nj also brought in that game and i played and won myself a nice teddy bear... siti, sumin, and sharon, u guys probably are not reading this, but i will never forget the fun times we spent all our money playing the stupid 'uncle ringo' game in nj... :) that was probably one of my happiest moments in njc...

going to the camp already... so fast! time passes really quickly... fri was anatomy exam and i will going to camp for a whole week... i am going to miss my pillow, my bolster and my bed...
the last time i went to a camp was in sec 4...red cross camp... in crescent...didn't really enjoyed it though... haven't even started packing... yesterday spent the night planning the games for the kids, btw, thanx prisy, for helping me...:)
anatomy exam was okay, i guess, just that i am so confused with the orientation of the bones and the actions of the muscles, like which muscle moves what joints...
anyway, was supposed to finish up my ORL assignment, in the end, i think i would have to finish it when i come back...
Michelle went back... i am so envious... wish that i could also go back now instead of having to wait till dec... she seems to be enjoying herself alot, which is good, cos she hasn't been back for a long long time... asked her to bring back famous amos and peanut butter for me... haha... dun like the peanut butter here...
btw... do u guys want me to buy anything from here? i can try to look for the stuff you want and bring it back... just email me k... or tell me on the tagboard... :)

QuEen oF prOcrAsTinaTiOn...
just came back from another altercation with the 'evil woman'... if not for the money, i would really like to tell her to p*** off...
and u noe what, while i was having lunch that day at work, overheard two of my supervisors bitching abt her too... so i wasn't the only one who detest her... and i heard them mentioning that alot of pple at work also complained abt her, and she herself dun like working at our branch... and she's currently looking for another position at other locations... good riddANCE... the faster you are fired, the better...
whenever i have a shift with her on duty, i always go home in a bad mood... asshole...
watched Stealth last friday with prisy... i liked the show alot... although the reviews that i read abt the show weren't very good... Josh Lucas's eyes are the bluest i have ever seen... and his are definitely real... highly recommended... the way the film was shot was really good...
anatomy exam coming this friday... and i haven't even finish revising half of the materials... so many details to remember, and i have to say that what they teach here is much more detailed than what i remembered studying in nyp... tried the sample exam paper and almost failed... alamak...
was supposed to study over the weekend...on sat... worked in the afternoon and then at night... ended up watching the chinese show again... with prisy... bcos uncle somehow managed to install the computer into the tv... so what was originally on the computer, can now be watched on tv... so obviously, we were very excited and what started out as a 'testing' session, turned out to be watching the show until midnight session... okay so i told myself, i will study on sun...
and then at 9am in the morning, i was still sleeping, the phone rang and my supervisor asked if i can start work at 10am till 7pm... great, in the end, never got to study at all...

DeLayEd BloggInG...
alamak!!! so long never blog already... now have to blog during common lunch... which means that i will be in hungry city later... and today finish at 4pm...
firstly...saw joanna's comment abt me wearing the OT shirt that day, and u noe what?!... pple in my course were very fascinated by it... asked me how come I got the shirt, and they liked the design too... yay... and i told them i attended OT back in singapore, and that the students there all have to have a class tshirt or something to represent their class... haha...
and then that day, i was talking to my friend and i said 'a-ba-den', which means obviously or yes, rite, and she was like, 'excuse me?!'... and then me and angela started to laugh, cos it's like a singlish thing... haha...
hmm... went to watch REd EYE last tues... now Greater Union no more $5.70 movies already, when we arrived there then found out abt it, but in the end, we still decided to watch... actually we were supposed to do like a community invasion thing for HO, pretend to be a visually-impaired person, and go into the community... the list of things that we were required to do were take public transport, cross a busy intersection, buy drinks... but we drove there instead... and we didn't really do the thing anyway, cos like karen didn't want to wear the blindfold ard westfield...
btw, if u haven't watched the movie, pls dun waste ur money (like me!)... it was dumb, i can't believe rachel mcadams would act in this kind of movie, and what's worse, with that, pervert-looking guy!!! he always act like pervert and creepy roles... in batman also...
next week got anatomy test!!! so fast leh... i totally forgot all my attachments and actions and joints... they are even more detailed over here... have to learn abt bone tissues, muscle tissues, cartilage, etc... sian ah... and the anatomy lab stinks even worse than the one in nyp... the smell is really strong and it stays with you for like a few days... the good thing is that, they have a lot of cadavers available, so dun have to take turns or stand on tiptoes to look... for short pple like me...
going for my clinical placement camp next week... huh... decided that i made a bad choice in choosing to go during this one-week break, cos after the break, alot of assignments due... and that means i have to complete them before the camp...shit...
saw the pictures that sherry took of her uni, SMU... really look like a high-class hospital, compared to our campus here... which reminds me, compared to any school back in singapore, our campus is like a hole... thanks sherry anyway for taking those pics... i want to go visit there when i go back... can't wait...

UpDaTeS...
now, i can't blog so often already... cos firstly, i really must start mugging, cos i have been slacking for the first 4 weeks since uni started, and i am warned not to use up the bandwidth at home... sigh... so i can only come to school and blog...
last wed, we had a 3hour break so went to have lunch with some friends, and it was like a birthday lunch they had for me... we had buffet, long time never eat buffet already, and the prices were quite reasonable, at this auburn RSL club... RSL stands for Received and Services League... which, btw, i have absolutely no idea what it means...
they actually have like lotus and char siew baos, and prawn crackers, and icecream... yum... when i saw the baos...i was so excited! never got to eat bao since i came here...
ate till i felt so bloated that i can't have dinner...
another thing that i wish to mention is that... i would like to congratulate myself... haha... on surviving my first winter here... it was really cold at times, especially at night... but spring's here... although these few days it was raining, and was really cold... 3 cheers for andrea...
on fri... went to chinatown with prisy and amelia to go look for cheap airplane tickets to singapore... yes, i plan to go back home in dec... we finally found a travel agency which offered quite reasonable SIA tickets at AUD$920... excluding taxes... and we plan to go back on the 5 dec till 23 dec... it was really an adventure... roaming the streets and going from one travel agency to the next... made me feel quite grown-up, cos i dun really get the chance to do something like that back home, now i just have to earn money to pay for my own ticket...
this weekend's work was tiring but i enjoyed it... no need to see the stupid person's face... was supposed to see her on sun night, but my other nice supervisor changed my shift from sun night to in the morning... haha... must be my prince of luck shining on me... :) and the whole of this week i also won't see her... so i am in a good mood this week...
after that, went to this foodcourt in chinatown and ate this korean spicy beef dish which was recommended by prisy... yum... really nice and spicy... better than ceci... the portion is also bigger and got more meat...
and then amelia had to leave for her driving lessons, and me and prisy continued to walk towards town hall... to go karaoke!
i have been looking forward to go karaoke, and then to my disappointment, echopoint did not have the songs that i want to sing... so we sang for an hour and decided to go big echo... and irritating, the place was fully booked... some pple just have nothing better to do than go karaoke... in the end, we just went home... oh and btw, i happened to see the 'wu ying liang ping' dvd selling for quite cheap, and i bought it... not bad... just like in karaoke, even have lyrics to the clips...
now i want to look for the greatest video clips for backstreet boys... maybe have to try online, cos i can't find any here...
okay, as the end for today's blog, i want to mention something really confusing to me, at least... u now how back in nyp, dr ravi taught us that the action for supraspinatus was to help initiate abduction, as in all the anatomy tb... but here, my lecturer says that the muscle has no action, it just provides a medial force to the humeral head, keeping it in the glenoid fossa... huh???
i am so confused... who to believe???

HaPy 20th BdaE...
went to burwood westfield to celebrate my bdae with amelia and karen last fri... was abit diappointed becos i thought that more pple were coming... but it was still fun... they bought me a wallet, a soft toy and a cake... and then we had fast food for lunch... haha... cos i want to eat mcdonald's and amelia wanted to eat kfc... so in the end, we decided to eat in the foodcourt... after that... we went shopping for abit and then had to leave early cos i was doing another morning fresh promotion in the afternoon...
business was really bad... i only manage to sell 1 box of pathetic Tectabs... cos not many pple go to coles west pennant hills i think, since the opening of woolies at thornleigh, where i work...
which reminds me of the supervisor whom i dun like... now all i can do is to pretend to smile at her and do whatever she tells me to do while i am cursing her inwardly...
i feel so hypocritical sometimes... like even though u dun like somebody, u still have to act like u are close friends with them... i think as u grow older, when u go out to work, u will face this kind of problems... especially here, cos like even in woolies, some supervisors are friendly, but others only seem friendly at times, other times, they can like 'fan lian bu ren ren'...
okay, at night, auntie fried roti prata for us, and we also ate this really nice ice cream as dessert, called conoisseur... and prisy gave me the album for the chinese show as a bdae gift... i have been wanting to get it, and she managed to find it, but she won't tell me where... bad girl...thank you. to michelle too, for the scarf...
went to watch unleashed yesterday... quite nice show, funny too... it wasn't that violent, as compared to sin city... which was gross... especially elijah wood, he looked really creepy... thank god it was in black and white, otherwise, with all the blood and gore everywhere... and the yellow thing... yuck, what is that?? reached home quite late, and now i am so tired, cos i dunno why, these few days, although i sleep early, and didn't really do much studying, i still feel sleepy...
btw, are the pics of the show chinese paladin nice? i spent quite alot of energy and time looking for them... highly recommended show to watch...

i feel so hypocritical sometimes... like even though u dun like somebody, u still have to act like u are close friends with them... i think as u grow older, when u go out to work, u will face this kind of problems... especially here, cos like even in woolies, some supervisors are friendly, but others only seem friendly at times, other times, they can like 'fan lian bu ren ren'...
okay, at night, auntie fried roti prata for us, and we also ate this really nice ice cream as dessert, called conoisseur... and prisy gave me the album for the chinese show as a bdae gift... i have been wanting to get it, and she managed to find it, but she won't tell me where... bad girl...thank you. to michelle too, for the scarf...
went to watch unleashed yesterday... quite nice show, funny too... it wasn't that violent, as compared to sin city... which was gross... especially elijah wood, he looked really creepy... thank god it was in black and white, otherwise, with all the blood and gore everywhere... and the yellow thing... yuck, what is that?? reached home quite late, and now i am so tired, cos i dunno why, these few days, although i sleep early, and didn't really do much studying, i still feel sleepy...
btw, are the pics of the show chinese paladin nice? i spent quite alot of energy and time looking for them... highly recommended show to watch...
