DRy SpELL...

Wow, I feel like this has to be longest dry spell in terms of online dating, and coronavirus is not helping... BORING...

Byron Bay/Ballina was a once off trip for us, not our style, mostly beaches, and western food... we did visit some beautiful places but not really a place where we would be returning...

Another Hunter Valley trip, I feel like this is the year where we have been there the most... and looking back at our old pictures, we really have been going to Hunter Valley way too many times...

Managed to call through to KIIS FM for the pop quiz, and it was sooo difficult, only managed to get $200, and I think once you have won something, they no longer pick you anymore... What a letdown!

Pongie has a new project offer but it's further from home, hopefully she can find something closer to home soon...

Upcoming trips, City staycations x3, Hobart (pending Baldie's opening of the border)...

AUntiE AgONy...

Had a week off for my birthday, didn't do very much, went to Hunter Valley again, the accommodation was not up to expectations, the only good thing was the views, at least we managed to get a massage. Tried this pedicure place, it was not bad, changed my nail colour from dark purple to french nail. Back at work, boring, now that the hospital has staff who tested positive for Coronavirus, we are still restricted in terms of home visit, so stressful having to crack my brain thinking what to do to occupy my time...

My random acquaintance since June is still ongoing, his father passed away suddenly, and he randomly messaged me on and off and we even spoke on the phone briefly last night, otherwise, online dating front is pretty much nonexistent...

So on my actual birthday, I actually managed to get through to KIIS FM and received a teeth whitening package as a prize, and I did the treatment today, it was an experience, so I pretty much have to sit there not moving for 2hours, with my mouth wide open using a mouthguard, and then have to pay myself for a top up, which involves another round of motionless sitting for 2hours in 6 weeks.

朋友,你不配。。。

The staycation at the Wildlife retreat at Taronga Zoo was not bad, the afternoon tour was definitely better than the morning one, food was average and the room was ok... a once off experience... the highlight was definitely the echidna and the koalas...

Work is still the same, BORING... looking like I am going to be BORED for awhile, maybe even till the end of the year who knows... now even have to wear masks at work :(

Birthday week coming up, pongie bought me kitkat and an ice cream cake from Baskin and Robbins, the toppings were not great, next time, we  have to remember to get another type of cake...

Saw a really good offer for MACQ01 in December, booked it so hopefully this time, we will get to go...

Byron Bay, what a joke, Renai finally decides to respond only to inform me the wedding is no longer happening in Byron Bay and no longer happening in September... PISS OFF... So of course, no choice we just have to go to Byron, but I am not going to a wedding of someone who can't even bother to return my call or apologise...

Coming up, Hunter Valley again, Byron Bay, Hunter Valley again haha, city staycations x2, Hobart, then Hunter Valley again...

SEcoNd WAvE...

Our Hunter Valley trip was disappointing, we didn't get to do the massage we wanted, I got to do a facial but Pongie didn't even get to do anything... the accommodation at Crowne Plaza was not bad but breakfast was just average...

Almost to the end of the first week of my holiday... I was so bored at work that I decided to take some leave... we have pretty much been told not to do any visits indefinitely... BORING AGAIN!

We have decided to cancel our trip to Hobart in September as the border is likely to remain closed due to the second wave of Coronavirus now hitting Melbourne BAD... the current restrictions in Melbourne are way worse than when we had the initial Coronavirus lockdown... and we are probably not likely to be travelling internationally anytime soon as well... hence we are pretty much stuck here...

Zoo trip coming up, then another Hunter Valley trip, then Byron Bay (who knows whether the wedding is even happening, Renai didn't even reply, RUDE!), then Hunter Valley again, then city staycations x2...

BuMBLe bEEs...

Did another staycation at The Fullerton, the atmosphere was definitely alot different, not many people, the restaurants and cafes were all closed and all the staff were wearing masks... it was still great overall, except no buffet, just standard ala carte breakfast... and don't have the yummy chicken porridge...

Started seeing this guy from Bumble... met up a few times already at work... dunno why I seem to attract guys who are homebodies, have some sort of mental health issue and never travelled overseas before... not that it's bad or anything, but just bizarre... anyway, let's see what happens...

Next up bring on Hunter Valley, my long awaited massage and the Zoo! cross our fingers and toes hopefully we can still go...

PiSS oFF...

Our staycation at the Star Residences was AMAZING... we had a room upgrade and it turned out to be a suite with 3 bedrooms and with a great view... minor downsides to the staycation like no buffet breakfast and the food was not great, but we were served breakfast in the room off like a hot trolley... don't think we will ever be able to stay in something so grand ever...

dating... just full of duds and disappointments... like weed, getting stood up, and this fucker even hung up on me on the phone and didn't turn up, so I blocked and deleted... seriously, my luck is downright shit... pretty boring actually... and being stood up by Renai was not funny at all, unfortunately we have already booked all the stuff for her wedding...

Pongie and I decided to give pilates a go, and today's first session showed us how inflexible and unfit we are, which I kind of know already...

WinTeR iS HerE...

Phase 2 of Coronavirus restrictions update... can visit people at home (but still not at work fully), can eat out but have to maintain social distancing, and it does feel like things are mostly back to normal, except still no travelling overseas and no interstate for now... it is getting more crowded everywhere now and our first roadtrip post lockdown to the Hydromajestic was packed and was pretty disappointing... we have booked some staycations in the next few months but the overseas travel planned for December still remains up in the air...

Didn't get the job at Lemongrove, pretty disappointed...

Other than that, nothing much is happening atm on the dating front...

闷到发狂。。。

Long time no post, all thanks to China and Coronavirus, we remain in semi isolation, only allowed to go out for work, grocery shopping and visit but limited numbers... work remains boring, as we are still not allowed to go on visits... uni marking has started, and I realise the ethical dilemma between uni and real life marking... Have not been out to eat at a café or restaurant since 22 March... only takeaways allowed... can't go anywhere... we have booked trips to hunter valley and a staycation in the city, who knows if we can actually go... online dating... don't even talk about it... nothing happening... and nothing can happen as long as the social distancing rules still apply anyway...

MasterChef has started, and this season, new judges, but all stars season... started out good and it's gradually going downhill... but we still watch, cos there's nothing better to do...

DAMn You CHinA...

Stupid China has ruined all our travel plans, we had to cancel our trip that we have been looking forward to for so long, ended up going to Hobart, Tasmania for a few days... it was nice but not the same as going to Taipei, Japan for my onsen and Seoul and Singapore... and of course, I got sick after returning from Tasmania, which then sent me into a panic thinking that it might be Coronavirus, that I have to get tested and be in quarantine... and now the issue is also I will have to cancel on Renai and her wedding at Byron Bay... cancelled our roadtrip to Mudgee, now the world is in lockdown and chaos becos of stupid China and Coronavirus...

ShiTTy StART...

so far, the start of 2020 has not been great... disappointment and being ghosted on online dating apps... the stupid China sparking a new wave of virus, Coronovirus, now impacting on the whole world and resulting in us having to frantically stock up on masks, sanitisers, and now having to wear masks when we fly and probably when we are walking around in the other countries...

and as if that's not bad enough, we had a bad storm over the weekend, and now there's water leaks in the house... and becos it's still being forecasted for rain for the next few weeks, the stupid builders can't start fixing the leaks until it stops raining... and becos we are leaving for overseas, it's so stressful atm... stupid builders should have done their job properly in the first place...

So basically, nothing is going well atm...

HAtiNg ThiS...

After what I said just the other day, he texted and said sorry, he doesn't want to waste my time... even though I said what I said about not having high expectations the other day, it still hurts, this whole week has been F***ing shitty... what's new...

LiFE iS F***ING UnFAir...

After all that, I did not get the teaching position at WSU... moral of the story is... it's not about how hard you work, it's your luck, being at the right place at the right time, and basically, life is just downright unfair...

教师。。。

Well Happy 2020!

Since the new year started, probably the biggest news is that my dream to lecture and teach may have finally come true, pending all the stars aligning... WSU approached Jean-Jacques to see if any clinicians interested in teaching the Neuro module... Can't believe no one put their hand up, well I am putting both hands up, the issue now is I am on holidays in March and there is no one to cover for me... cross my fingers and toes it will all work out...

Speaking of Jean-Jacques, I am doing weekly Chinese lessons with him, hilarious, my Chinese writing has definitely deteriorated, it was our first lesson today and I even had to check my translator...

So started chatting with this guy on Bumble... who is the same age as Pongie, since sunday... we have only spoken on the phone once yesterday... the issue is he has some issues with his living situation atm, he lives pretty far from me, and he's the same age as Pongie... don't really know what is going to happen, so at this stage, I am happy to keep chatting, but the day he tells me it's not working, then it would be ok take care... no high expectations here... other than that, nothing much happening on the online dating front...

Last POst for 2019...

Wow! the end of a decade and 2019...

It has been an eventful year, sort of... finally completed my Masters Degree, formally moved into our townhouse at Schofields after so much dramas... new job at Liverpool Hospital... unfortunately, not much happening on the dating front... what's new...

Prefer not to reminisce on what happened this time last year with You Know Who...

Dunno how it happened this last week, Brenda, Andrew and Fangying and us have seen each other more times than ever, all thanks to Gin Rummy... which actually reminded me that I have played it before with You KNow Who... First it was us visiting their new apartment at Summer Hill, then it's them visiting us here, and next it will be us visiting Fangying's apartment...

Resolutions for 2020, not that I keep them anyway, get a lecturing job, travelling in March 2020, keep healthy, and of course, find a partner soon... Hopefully the devastating bushfires will improve soon and we get some decent rainfalls soon... Oh and planning to return to Singapore in Dec 2020 and doing a short trip in Jan 2021, maybe if all works out...

Renai invited us to her wedding at Byron Bay... which is very kind of her, but Byron Bay, really??!! Headache...

Well, Happy 2020! I am again a year older...

SPinSterHood...

I am feeling sorry for myself... work is going ok, at least there's stuff to do for now... rather than feeling bored and actually feeling stressed about having nothing to do...

still no luck whatsoever with online dating... maybe I just have to acknowledge the fact that some people just have no luck in love...

now that I finished my masters, nothing has changed... I don't get paid more, or get more opportunities... tried emailing universities, and still have to go through the usual process... why did I waste time and money doing the degree again??!!

nothing really to look forward to for the next little while... how sad is that...

HEaLTh iS mOSt iMporTaNt...

Had another health scare and what's worse was it happened at work, as I was driving to a patient's house, it was like a drama... had to call Diana, then call the ambulance, and got taken to Fairfield Hospital, and even after being discharged from hospital, I was still getting chest pain, so went to the GP, had more tests, and now finally feel better and got the all clear, not a heart attack or stroke, but again, it's like when I had the weird blown up lip in January, it's like my body is telling me I need to change my lifestyle... now I am worried people at work are going to think I can't do my work properly and can't take stress... even when it's nothing to do with work at all... compared to when I was in Concord, when I was super stressed on some days, working at Liverpool is so much more easier... I felt bad for pongie as well, cos she had to leave work early, catch the train back home, then walk to the station, then change trains to get to me... and it was like a 37 degrees day as well...

other than that, most of the flights, accommodation have been booked for our trip in March... now left figuring how to get from Takayama to Nagoya, then book the one day tours later...

PiSS oFF...

After 3 months of going out with David C, we're done... enough of your empty promises, and a guy who gives up at the first sign of a problem, is a guy I don't need in my life... have a nice life... no wonder you got cheated on not once, but twice...

anyway, I am going to give myself a pat on the shoulder and back for finally finishing the last assignment, and that's it... just hand me the masters certificate and degree...

Looking forward to our March holidays to Taipei, Seoul and Japan... yay!

是也不是。。。

started the new job at Liverpool community... colleagues are all nice, so far so good, basically seeing mostly aged clients so dealing with MAC, equipment prescription, pressure care, falls and home mods, also running this falls prevention group with PT... still trying to get my head around the different processes... the one annoying thing is the shit parking... which meant that I have to wake up extra early so I can find get parking and then walk to work...

still working on my final uni assignment, really slow going... I know I just have to get it done but it's easier said than done...

David and I... on some days, I feel like we are getting closer and we will go far, but then on other days, like today, I feel like we are too different, and it's making me doubt whether we will go far... and today he dropped a bomb saying we are meeting his whole entire family for lunch at his place on the weekend... not good... eating at his place with his entire family and just meeting his parents for lunch outside is very different... and guess what, the other David suddenly texted me the night before, asking a very crude question, and I was debating whether to reply or not, whether to block or not... in the end, I deleted and just left it... seriously WTF...

the VIP arriving in 2 weeks... stress...

34th BiRThDAy...

My 34th Birthday... spent it with Mum and Pongie at Adelaide, did the Barossa Valley and Hahndorf tour, which was really nice... bought a casket of wine and some honey... and it was finally back to reality...

back to work... caught up with everyone, and of course everyone knows I am leaving by now, so have to chat about that, and was able to catch up with Renai and Theresa, work wise, just covering a little of ortho and hands depending on where needs me...

Spent 3 days in a row with David which was a lot compared to what we did before I left for Adelaide... he gave me a beautiful necklace for my birthday... He pretty much hinted that he was already at the L stage, but not wanting to say it until I said it... and now I am going to do meet the parents in 2 weeks... went to Nantien temple today with David to pray for Fran, KT and their baby... things are definitely progressing in the right direction with David and I... watch this space...

One more final uni assignment to go, and that's it...

One more week before I start the new job... now have to decide if I am going to drive or catch the train... and have to wake up earlier than what I am doing now...

ADeLaiDe...

Can't believe the 2 weeks of clinical placement just came and went like that...

Impression of Adelaide, pretty chilled, not much happening, most people are nice and willing to help... not much Asian food though, even in Chinatown... the city is beautiful, with buildings but also scattered with parks...

Placement... the good... very friendly team of OTs and lecturer, very happy to share ideas and provide assistance... got to learn new things like robotics, prism therapy, new cognitive screen... get to sleep in and start at 0900 and finish at 1630 mostly... the Airbnb place which we stayed in was not bad, other than the dirty bedsheets, it is within walking distance to Westfield and buses...

the not so good... some annoying PT on placement... can be pretty boring at times, cos we only allocated to 2 patients the entire placement... and of course, having to work on the presentation and assignments every day, even after I finish for the day... having only 2 other OTs on placement meant that there was nowhere to hide, and I felt pressure at times to prove myself...

Did the city tour today, it was alright, made a complaint becos the information provided on the website was not correct...

Sooo, on the dating front... David actually said the L word last Friday, well not said, he texted, which I was not impressed, and was not expecting... it was a little awkward... oh well...

Anyway, now I just have to complete the last 2 assignments and that's it for the degree, finally!

Definitely not looking forward to returning to Concord and facing Ass... and having to wake up early urghhh...

WOrLd CuP FeVEr...

World Cup 2022, held in Qatar this time around, has been full of shocks and surprises... the underdogs are definitely Morroco and hopefully ...
