And of course, Coronavirus has messed with our plans for Tasmania again!! Tasmania cancelled, freaking hell!!!

Luckily, we are still able to go ahead with our staycations... Four Seasons was pretty good, especially the Club Lounge, better than the one at Shangri La... Skye Suites at Green Square was not that great, due to poor cleanliness... The best has to be Park Hyatt so far, and of course, the most expensive too... and just found out that Crown Towers is finally opening, and of course, the price is sooo expensive that it is not affordable, there goes my plan of staying there... 

Upcoming staycations... Fullerton, Shangri La and The Darling...

Quick recap of our stay at Pier One... It was ok, but too crowded, we saw some people we recognised from Masterchef, dunno if it is a place we would go back to stay again...

Sooooo... after a good run of approx 2 weeks with no cases, today after just 2 days, we have 17 cases, and now we are worried about our staycation and trip to Tasmania... it's like deja vu all over again, SHIT!

Talking about shit literally, I had a shitty traumatic morning, when I was walking halfway to work, and I suddenly felt the feeling of diarrhoea coming on, so I walked as fast as I could, and managed to get into the toilet but the diarrhoea flowed out, staining my pants, panties, and dripped onto the floor... it was bad... I had no choice but to take a sickie and came home to clean up... seriously, this is the second time this has happened, although there has been a few times when it could have gone bad... the first time was when I was still at Nepean... it was bad... 

Online dating... the weed smoking guy suddenly messaged me out of the blue, I don't even know why I keep entertaining him, but eventually I was like you're a waste of time... met up with a guy I met on Bumble last night... he seemed ok, just balding, and possibly has body odour... we'll see...

Hopefully, we will still be able to enjoy our staycations and trip to Tasmania... Coming up, Four Seasons, Skye Suites at Green Square, Park Hyatt, Fullerton and then Hobart...

 Nothing exciting happening hence nil blogging recently...

The Langham as expected and with that price, was great, met my expectations, crossing my fingers and toes we win this competition and get to stay there again...

We decided to book a last minute stay at Skye Suites Parramatta over the weekend cos it was 40 degrees... went to eat at this Singaporean restaurant Temasek and the food was pretty good... went to check out the bar on the top floor, and it sucked, had to sit outdoors cos it was so crowded, the heat was unbearable, and the cocktail we ordered was shit... not going back there again...

Nothing much happening on the online dating front... and my stupid brain still keep thinking of the lying psycho... 

Uncle Jeffrey passed away suddenly, heart attack, and now Nainai may have to go to a nursing home... dunno how much longer she has left, and as long as the international borders remain close, we are stuck here... 

PiSS oFF...

Staycation at Shangri-La, the room was amazing, the view was pretty good, and the access to the Horizon Club Lounge was pretty good too, the only downsides are the bad weather and the breakfast, food was not great... 

After 2 weeks of happy and not so happy times, I give up, and the irony of it was I even deleted my POF account just yesterday thinking that we could really give it a good go, but after last night, it became clear to me that there are just too many things that I am not willing to overlook...  Why is it so hard to find someone who is normal and decent??!!

Other than that, nothing much is happening, work remains the same... 

Staycations upcoming... The Langham, Skye Suites Green Square, Fullerton, and Hobart, finally the borders are open!

City staycation at the newly opened Crowne Plaza at Darling Harbour... the room was great, and everything was new, breakfast was not bad too... it was pretty good in general and we also received a $100 voucher for our next staycation...

Workwise... still the same, nothing much has changed, boring...

Online dating... started chatting with this Australian/Vietnamese guy on POF this week and we met up for dinner yesterday... still unsure what stage we are... on the one hand, we already had some issues from the start and on the other hand, he is quite funny at times... again, being an undecided idiot, I just can't make up my mind and stay firm... and got sort of stood up by another guy on POF again...

DRy SpELL...

Wow, I feel like this has to be longest dry spell in terms of online dating, and coronavirus is not helping... BORING...

Byron Bay/Ballina was a once off trip for us, not our style, mostly beaches, and western food... we did visit some beautiful places but not really a place where we would be returning...

Another Hunter Valley trip, I feel like this is the year where we have been there the most... and looking back at our old pictures, we really have been going to Hunter Valley way too many times...

Managed to call through to KIIS FM for the pop quiz, and it was sooo difficult, only managed to get $200, and I think once you have won something, they no longer pick you anymore... What a letdown!

Pongie has a new project offer but it's further from home, hopefully she can find something closer to home soon...

Had a week off for my birthday, didn't do very much, went to Hunter Valley again, the accommodation was not up to expectations, the only good thing was the views, at least we managed to get a massage. Tried this pedicure place, it was not bad, changed my nail colour from dark purple to french nail. Back at work, boring, now that the hospital has staff who tested positive for Coronavirus, we are still restricted in terms of home visit, so stressful having to crack my brain thinking what to do to occupy my time... 

My random acquaintance since June is still ongoing, his father passed away suddenly, and he randomly messaged me on and off and we even spoke on the phone briefly last night, otherwise, online dating front is pretty much nonexistent... 

So on my actual birthday, I actually managed to get through to KIIS FM and received a teeth whitening package as a prize, and I did the treatment today, it was an experience, so I pretty much have to sit there not moving for 2hours, with my mouth wide open using a mouthguard, and then have to pay myself for a top up, which involves another round of motionless sitting for 2hours in 6 weeks.

The staycation at the Wildlife retreat at Taronga Zoo was not bad, the afternoon tour was definitely better than the morning one, food was average and the room was ok... a once off experience... the highlight was definitely the echidna and the koalas... 

Work is still the same, BORING... looking like I am going to be BORED for awhile, maybe even till the end of the year who knows... now even have to wear masks at work :(

Birthday week coming up, pongie bought me kitkat and an ice cream cake from Baskin and Robbins, the toppings were not great, next time, we  have to remember to get another type of cake...

Saw a really good offer for MACQ01 in December, booked it so hopefully this time, we will get to go...

Byron Bay, what a joke, Renai finally decides to respond only to inform me the wedding is no longer happening in Byron Bay and no longer happening in September... PISS OFF... So of course, no choice we just have to go to Byron, but I am not going to a wedding of someone who can't even bother to return my call or apologise... 

Coming up, Hunter Valley again, Byron Bay, Hunter Valley again haha, city staycations x2, Hobart, then Hunter Valley again...

SEcoNd WAvE...

Our Hunter Valley trip was disappointing, we didn't get to do the massage we wanted, I got to do a facial but Pongie didn't even get to do anything... the accommodation at Crowne Plaza was not bad but breakfast was just average... 

Almost to the end of the first week of my holiday... I was so bored at work that I decided to take some leave... we have pretty much been told not to do any visits indefinitely... BORING AGAIN!

We have decided to cancel our trip to Hobart in September as the border is likely to remain closed due to the second wave of Coronavirus now hitting Melbourne BAD... the current restrictions in Melbourne are way worse than when we had the initial Coronavirus lockdown... and we are probably not likely to be travelling internationally anytime soon as well... hence we are pretty much stuck here...

Zoo trip coming up, then another Hunter Valley trip, then Byron Bay (who knows whether the wedding is even happening, Renai didn't even reply, RUDE!), then Hunter Valley again, then city staycations x2... 

BuMBLe bEEs...

Did another staycation at The Fullerton, the atmosphere was definitely alot different, not many people, the restaurants and cafes were all closed and all the staff were wearing masks... it was still great overall, except no buffet, just standard ala carte breakfast... and don't have the yummy chicken porridge... 

Started seeing this guy from Bumble... met up a few times already at work... dunno why I seem to attract guys who are homebodies, have some sort of mental health issue and never travelled overseas before... not that it's bad or anything, but just bizarre... anyway, let's see what happens...  

Next up bring on Hunter Valley, my long awaited massage and the Zoo! cross our fingers and toes hopefully we can still go...

PiSS oFF...

Our staycation at the Star Residences was AMAZING... we had a room upgrade and it turned out to be a suite with 3 bedrooms and with a great view... minor downsides to the staycation like no buffet breakfast and the food was not great, but we were served breakfast in the room off like a hot trolley... don't think we will ever be able to stay in something so grand ever...

dating... just full of duds and disappointments... like weed, getting stood up, and this fucker even hung up on me on the phone and didn't turn up, so I blocked and deleted... seriously, my luck is downright shit... pretty boring actually... and being stood up by Renai was not funny at all, unfortunately we have already booked all the stuff for her wedding... 

Pongie and I decided to give pilates a go, and today's first session showed us how inflexible and unfit we are, which I kind of know already...

Phase 2 of Coronavirus restrictions update... can visit people at home (but still not at work fully), can eat out but have to maintain social distancing, and it does feel like things are mostly back to normal, except still no travelling overseas and no interstate for now... it is getting more crowded everywhere now and our first roadtrip post lockdown to the Hydromajestic was packed and was pretty disappointing... we have booked some staycations in the next few months but the overseas travel planned for December still remains up in the air...

Didn't get the job at Lemongrove, pretty disappointed...

Other than that, nothing much is happening atm on the dating front...

闷到发狂。。。

Long time no post, all thanks to China and Coronavirus, we remain in semi isolation, only allowed to go out for work, grocery shopping and visit but limited numbers... work remains boring, as we are still not allowed to go on visits... uni marking has started, and I realise the ethical dilemma between uni and real life marking... Have not been out to eat at a café or restaurant since 22 March... only takeaways allowed... can't go anywhere... we have booked trips to hunter valley and a staycation in the city, who knows if we can actually go... online dating... don't even talk about it... nothing happening... and nothing can happen as long as the social distancing rules still apply anyway... 

MasterChef has started, and this season, new judges, but all stars season... started out good and it's gradually going downhill... but we still watch, cos there's nothing better to do...

Stupid China has ruined all our travel plans, we had to cancel our trip that we have been looking forward to for so long, ended up going to Hobart, Tasmania for a few days... it was nice but not the same as going to Taipei, Japan for my onsen and Seoul and Singapore... and of course, I got sick after returning from Tasmania, which then sent me into a panic thinking that it might be Coronavirus, that I have to get tested and be in quarantine... and now the issue is also I will have to cancel on Renai and her wedding at Byron Bay... cancelled our roadtrip to Mudgee, now the world is in lockdown and chaos becos of stupid China and Coronavirus... 

ShiTTy StART...

so far, the start of 2020 has not been great... disappointment and being ghosted on online dating apps... the stupid China sparking a new wave of virus, Coronovirus, now impacting on the whole world and resulting in us having to frantically stock up on masks, sanitisers, and now having to wear masks when we fly and probably when we are walking around in the other countries... 

and as if that's not bad enough, we had a bad storm over the weekend, and now there's water leaks in the house... and becos it's still being forecasted for rain for the next few weeks, the stupid builders can't start fixing the leaks until it stops raining... and becos we are leaving for overseas, it's so stressful atm... stupid builders should have done their job properly in the first place... 

So basically, nothing is going well atm...

After what I said just the other day, he texted and said sorry, he doesn't want to waste my time... even though I said what I said about not having high expectations the other day, it still hurts, this whole week has been F***ing shitty... what's new...

After all that, I did not get the teaching position at WSU... moral of the story is... it's not about how hard you work, it's your luck, being at the right place at the right time, and basically, life is just downright unfair...

Well Happy 2020!

Since the new year started, probably the biggest news is that my dream to lecture and teach may have finally come true, pending all the stars aligning... WSU approached Jean-Jacques to see if any clinicians interested in teaching the Neuro module... Can't believe no one put their hand up, well I am putting both hands up, the issue now is I am on holidays in March and there is no one to cover for me... cross my fingers and toes it will all work out... 

Speaking of Jean-Jacques, I am doing weekly Chinese lessons with him, hilarious, my Chinese writing has definitely deteriorated, it was our first lesson today and I even had to check my translator... 

So started chatting with this guy on Bumble... who is the same age as Pongie, since sunday... we have only spoken on the phone once yesterday... the issue is he has some issues with his living situation atm, he lives pretty far from me, and he's the same age as Pongie... don't really know what is going to happen, so at this stage, I am happy to keep chatting, but the day he tells me it's not working, then it would be ok take care... no high expectations here... other than that, nothing much happening on the online dating front...
